Tarot Card of the Week — Page of Swords

Page of SwordsTarot Card of the Week: Aug 31-Sept 6
The Pony Express

This week you might deliver or receive an unexpected message. You or another person might expel the gusty west winds and create a storm to bring something out into the open, or put an end to something, or deliver unexpected news or gossip!

The Page of Swords is called “The Pony Express Card” in my deck, the messenger who delivers important messages. The message represents the unexpected box of chocolates that Forest Gump talked about, and Forest said, “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get!”

The Page of Swords brings you into a new fragile beginning or ending, and the arrival of the unexpected west winds… We have a saying here in California, “When the Santa Ana Winds are blowing, anything can happen!”

You arrive at the path of the unexpected west winds… The Page of Swords is the “Pony Express” who delivers important messages (good or bad). You’ll deliver or receive an important letter, email, text, phone message, or you may hear or spread gossip. You may lose something or lose someone dear to you. You could also experience unexpected weather or transportation problems!

Weekly Astro Forecast — Aug 30 – Sept 5, 2015

Weekly Astrology Forecast

Here is the Psychic Scoop Astrology Forecast for the week of Aug 30 – Sep 5, 2015:

This week starts with the Moon in Pisces on Sunday, still in full phase and nestled between Neptune and Chiron, which are both retrograde. This is the stuff that dreams are made of — with the infamous “Blue Moon” activating this sensitive, intuitive and highly impressionable astrological configuration.

Birthstones Meanings, Magic, and Dazzling Legends

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend — but so would be a collection of other fabulous gems that are considered birthstones. Some people would disagree of the type of gem associated with birthstones. Some say Ruby is January’s gem, or that Alexandrite is June’s gemstone.

I prefer Pearls for June, perhaps because that is my gemstone; I love Pearls and everything associated with them, including the beach.

Birth gems have power! Not only do they provide the owner healing powers, but they dazzle the imagination with the stories, myths and legends behind these special stones.

Below is a look at birthstones and why they are so special:

The Invisible Man: Part 2 of 12

Invisible Man

This week, the 12-part series called “The Invisible Man” continues.

This series came about as a result of a client who was struggling with a breakup and seeking questions about the demise of her relationship.

To Recap: The client whom we will call “Annie” was stuck at the cross-roads for many years regarding this breakup, which she never saw coming…

Annie is a long time client of mine, and she asked me to go into detail about a man she was engaged to in the past.

We will call this man James Bond…

Annie thought she knew James Bond inside and out, but when the relationship ended, unexpectedly, without closure, she realized she did not know him as good as she thought she did!

Tarot Card of the Week: The Ten of Pentacles

deviant moon ten of pentaclesTarot Card of the Week: August 24 – August 30

Ten of Pentacles

Pentacles are a suit of money and material things, tangible in the here and now. The number ten represents completion through perfection.

This week’s card, the Ten of Pentacles, is from the Deviant Moon Tarot by Patrick Valenza.

While the picture on the card may seem a little ominous, and people fear a pentacle, I promise this is one good card to get in a reading.

The Ten of Pentacles is represented by the Lord of Wealth, it is the element of Earth, the earth signs of the Zodiac: Taurus, Capricorn and Virgo, the season is Winter, the direction of North and the herb is the Wild Yam. The wild yam is used as an estrogen replacement, disorders of the intestines, diverticulosis, gall bladder pain, and for increasing energy.

The key parts of the Ten of Pentacles are prosperity, property inherited wealth, more than may have been expected. Material security founded on the work of others, family matters stabilized.

Now let’s take a closer look at what these things can mean for you in the different areas of your life:

Dating Apocalypse? Finding Love with Online Dating

Earlier this month, the popular dating app Tinder had an epic, thirty post  Twitter meltdown in response to a critical Vanity Fair article  decrying today’s millennial “hook-up” culture (and apps like Tinder) as responsible for a kind of dating apocalypse.

Those critical of online and mobile dating technology contend that easily accessible sex  has replaced human relating and posed a daunting barrier to finding love.  They say that with so many opportunities for easily obtainable hook-ups or sex, men (and women) have little impetus or time to seek out serious relationships. Others say that online dating is just not a place where a serious, soulful relationship can be found.

It’s true that online dating can be a pool fraught with creeps and guys who send crude two word questions, and just about everyone knows a funny (or horrible) online dating story.  One of the most popular refrains I hear from app weary clients is, “I’m just so over online dating. There’s no good guys!” But does this mean that it’s impossible to find a partner online?

This week, we begin a 12-part series called “The Invisible Man.”

This series came about as a result of a client who was struggling with a breakup and seeking questions about the demise of her relationship.

Crystal Therapy: Five Crystals to Dissolve Negative Energy

Today’s crystal therapy session is all about dissolving and dispelling negative energy. It can be challenging to stay focused when we are surrounded by negative energy. Sometimes our work places can and even our home environments can be emotionally toxic environments that can make it difficult for us to stay in a positive frame of mind. Crystal therapy is one thing that we can apply to our everyday lives to assist us in dissolving negative energy.

Tarot Card of the Week: Queen of Swords

Queen of Swords

Tarot Card of the Week: August 17 – August 23

Queen of Swords

One of the most collectible and celebrated artists of the art deco movement, Alphonse Maria Mucha (24 July 1860 – 14 July 1939) was a Czech Art Nouveau painter and decorative artist.

He was well-known for his images of women. He produced famous advertisements, designs, illustrations and paintings and was known for capturing the spirit of the moment in his art.

Much of his art is displayed in the Tarot Mucha deck.

Mucha insisted that art was about conveying a spiritual message, so showcasing his art on a tarot deck is a perfect tribute to what he stood for.

Interestingly the Art Nouveau movement, and the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck were at the height of their popularity.

This deck follows the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith, with ethereal images of Alphonse Mucha.

He was catapulted to fame when he was commissioned to create posters for the famous actress Sarah Bernhardt.
