Finding Your Other Half

other half

One of the questions I get asked most frequently as a psychic is “When will I meet my soul mate?”

The term “soul mate” is often used interchangeably with “other half” but they’re essentially the same thing.

The question of when is often followed by how (as in under what circumstances) when it really should be more along the lines of “What changes can I make in myself to become the best version of me so that I can attract the right partner into my life?”

Let’s face it, most of us are looking for someone to share our lives with.

And for those of us who haven’t yet found that perfect someone, the desire to do so can become the strongest motivating factor in our lives.

But if motivation alone were enough to create happily-ever-afters, none of us would ever have to worry about finding our other halves.

Tarot Card of the Week – The Fool

Tarot Card of the Week – May 27 – June 2

The Fool

In the old Mythic Tarot (and the new version as well) The Fool is depicted as the God, Dionysus, child of Zeus and a mortal woman named Semele, a princess of Thebes.

He is the God of the Grape Harvest, the God of Parties, wine making, theater and fertility.

In this picture we see Dionysus taking a risk or just about to jump off a cliff. He is invincible, nothing can touch him.

When Dionysus was just a child, Queen Hera tried to kill him, but Zeus rescued Dionysus beating heart and transformed the child in the underworld making him be reborn to the world.

The Fool in the Tarot is actually a very exciting card. It shows you have the highest potential possible in your life at this moment, when you see this card.

You have the potential to reach a state of renewal or new beginnings and when you see this card you can rest assured that your creativity, and problem solving will be at an all-time high.

Skeptical of Psychic or Tarot Readings, It’s Okay

skeptical

I have a confession to make here: even though I have been doing these readings for many years, I went through a couple of bouts of being skeptical myself.

While I know that may seem strange for someone like me to say, but it’s the truth. There were times when I didn’t want to do this work because I was afraid of saying the wrong thing and hurting people.

Other times, I couldn’t help but wonder if what I was putting in my readings were actually just my own thoughts of how I wanted things to be for the person getting the reading. This has come to mind most often when I was doing readings for friends and family.

When I was very young, I heard voices, saw things I didn’t understand and just seem to know things without any idea of why I knew them.

Lucky for me I had a Gram that was able to explain it all to me because the same things happened with her. While she embraced it, I wanted nothing to do with any of it because it scared me.

Tarot Card of the Week — Two of Pentacles

Mythic2P

The Two of Pentacles for May 20-26:

In this version of The Mythic Tarot we see the skillful artist Daedalus of Greek mythology. He stands at his workbench, and holds up his two greatest inventions, the axe and the saw.  His workbench is supported by two large pentacles. (In Tarot Pentacles represent the building of wealth or the path to abundance.)

The items on the bench represent all the things he can do, giving all who see him the impression that all things are possible.

The number Two in Tarot represents a need for balance. The Two of Pentacles shows us that  you may be in a position where there are conflicting interests. You see two paths and you aren’t sure if you should complete one thing or abandoned it completely and start new.  You may also discover a need to balance work and family life.

The Two of Pentacles shows Daedalus hard at work and usually forsaking everything else but his art. You may want to rethink your position and choose the quality of life taking breaks from work to enjoy friends or family.

This card also represents the need to balance what you want to do and what you should do in your life. Just remember if you choose to do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.

Ask a Psychic: What Do Our Transits Hold?

A client who we’ll call Anna wrote in to ask about her and her ex-lover’s current and upcoming transits.

She had been seeing a man for a year and a half before he broke up with her — completely unexpectedly — in late April.

At the time he told her he was confused about his feelings and was thinking about someone he’d met and dated before.

Anna was blind-sided by this breakup and says that at the time she thought things were going very well. She does have some knowledge of astrology herself and has looked into each of their transits trying to make sense of things.

Ask a Psychic: Should I Stay or Should I Go?

This week’s question comes from a client who has been in a long distance relationship for the past 7 months.

Things have been going well and even though they live in difference countries, they’ve made time to see each other at least twice a month.

But a recent death in the family prompted her to reach out to him, hoping he would be there for her when she needed him. Not only did he not come, he didn’t seem supportive at all.

She felt that he was annoyed with her for “expecting him to drop everything” and ended the conversation on a sour note.

An Easy Trick to Keep ‘End-Game’ Fears from Ruining Dating

The End-game.

Your feelings about the ultimate objective of dating can determine whether or not dating is stressful or successful for you. (Who wants to run a marathon if what’s at the finish line is scary?)

Here’s what one woman I worked with did to remedy those fears:

Barbara had always dreamed of a loving relationship. She’d been successful in her career and her intelligence and discipline had earned her advanced degrees and made her a highly sought professional.

Ask a Psychic: Where Do I Go From Here?

where

This week’s question comes from a client who is going through a very recent breakup.

Her boyfriend — whom we will call John — ended things with her saying that he had career opportunities in another region and did not see himself maintaining a long distance relationship.

Our client wonders whether this was the real reason he walked away or if it was just an excuse, as she suspects that his parents were not in favor of their union.

She’s now left wondering where she is to go from here? She’s seeing how she put a lot of other things aside — her own career goals for example — in order to focus her attention on the relationship with John.

A Mystic Tale about Cinco de Mayo

cinco de mayo

Thousands of years ago the great Mayan civilization built a pyramid named El Castillo (the castle, Temple of Kukulkan) to represent the folkloric legend of Snake Mountain, the place they believed all humanity came from.

El Castillo is nine stories tall, with a three-room temple on top and a stairway climbing each of the four sides. The Mayans were known as great mathematicians and astronomers and calculated each step and design of the building to represent everything they believed of their origins.
