Weekly Astrology Forecast

Here is the Psychic Scoop Weekly Astrology Forecast for the week of May 13, 2019 – May 19, 2019:

This week starts with the Sun inconjuncting Jupiter on Monday. This is a feel-good aspect that can be overly dramatic and inclined to go over the top. It can see you feeling so expansive and gregarious that you end up biting off more than you can chew or promising more than you can deliver. The combination of enthusiasm and benevolence can get you thinking you can do more than you really can. And while your heart may be in the right place, your inability to follow through can get you into hot water.

This aspect is known for over-indulging, over-extending and over-committing. In other words overdoing everything. You may be feeling so jovial and so overconfident that you have a hard time reigning in it and exercising any real discipline.

On Tuesday, the Sun trines Pluto and Venus sextiles Mars. The Sun / Pluto aspect is all about harnessing your personal power and channeling it in productive / transformative ways. It’s excellent for business and financial matters since both of these planets are in Earth signs. It can also be used to make positive changes in yourself — as in how you wish to present yourself to the outer world and how you want to be perceived.

The Venus / Mars sextile brings love and romance to the forefront. Even though both of these planets are debilitated by sign, this transit is all about going with the flow and staying in sync with your loved ones. It’s good for attracting new people into your life and for collaborating rather than putting up resistance.

On Wednesday, Venus leaves Aries — the sign of its detriment — and moves into Taurus — the sign of its dignity, where it will remain for the next 3-1/2 weeks. Venus in Taurus is calm, gentle, patient and sensuous. In keeping with the above-mentioned recommendations, this is an excellent time to do landscaping, plant your garden or create a beautiful flowerbed. Venus in Taurus wants to surround itself with beauty and to indulge all five senses.

This is a good time to take a cooking class, visit a winery, redecorate your house, doing energy work or getting in touch with your physical body, through yoga, massage, pilates, etc. As both Venus and Taurus are also linked with money, it’s a good time to think about saving or investing, keeping in mind that the cautions against spending (especially on high-dollar purchases) during this time.

Mars moves into Cancer on Thursday, just as Mercury sextiles Neptune. Mars is debilitated in Cancer, the sign opposite its exaltation (Capricorn). It can be moody, temperamental and irritable. It can also manifest as passive-aggression. But as with all weak planetary placements, there are also some wonderfully favorable aspects: in this case a motivation (Mars) toward empathy, nurturing and caring for others.

Because Mars is also currently out of bounds, you want to be on the lookout for erratic behavior from others during this time. You want to stay centered and not allow your buttons get pushed. Or at the very least recognize the importance of not taking things personally.

The Mercury / Neptune sextile can hopefully soften some of of that erratic Martian energy. This aspect is is excellent for meditating, journaling, or any type of creative communications (songwriting, poetry, composing love letters, etc.) It’s also a highly sensitive aspect that favors getting in touch with your intuition and paying attention to your dreams.

With Mercury trining Saturn (and the South Node) the following day — on Friday — you should be able to put some of that creative intuition to good practical use. It’s a good time to make plans and to assess progress that’s already been made. These trines are both productive and disciplined, so if you want to get something done now is the time to do it.

Mercury / Saturn is focused, rational, ambitious and goal-oriented. Bring them together in a harmonious 120 degree angle (trine) and you’ve got a fantastic recipe for success. And this is serious business: you may not feel like putting your party hat on, but you can get a lot accomplished.

On Saturday, there’s a Full Moon at 27º Scorpio 38. It’s called the Full Flower Moon in Native American traditions, a reference to the abundance of flowers that bloom during the month of May.

The Full Moon provides an overview of the progress you’ve made since its New Moon counterpoint in April. Seeds that were planted then will surely have sprouted; do you need to make adjustments or change your course entirely? Now is the time to think about what you’ve accomplished and where you want to go from here.

As Full Moons are said to shine a spotlight on areas in your chart that are affected (by house position and contacts to other planets) you might look to your own natal chart to see where this will play out for you.

Also on Saturday, Mercury trines Pluto and Venus conjuncts Uranus. Starting with the Mercury / Pluto trine, this aspect is good for digging in deep and ferreting out information that can solve some of your more perplexing emotional responses. It’s good for doing research and looking for hidden clues. It’s also good for deep, soulful, meaningful conversations that get to the heart of the matter.

The Venus / Uranus conjunction is more about establishing your own unique role in relationship. It’s about forging your own path and defining your own concept of relationship, without worrying about status quo expectations. Especially because this conjunction occurs in fiery, passionate and pioneering Aries.

It can bring someone new in, too — a sudden attraction to someone who goes against “type” and can manifest as love at first sight whirlwind romance. Venus and Uranus together can be exciting but somewhat erratic. So stay in the moment rather than projecting any long-term ideals onto a relationship that ignites during this transit.

That’s it for this week. See you next week!
