Weekly Astrology Forecast

Here is the Psychic Scoop Weekly Astrology Forecast for the week of Oct 18, 2026 – Oct 24, 2026:

As we start this week, on Sunday, there’s an exact opposition between the Sun (at 25° Libra) and the dwarf planet Eris (at 25° Aries). Astrologers have been researching Eris for some time, so there’s still much to learn. But so far, this tiny planet seems to pack a hell of a punch. Named for the Greek goddess Eris, it’s said to represent chaos, turbulence and discord, among many other things. It’s been prominent in the charts of forceful and aggressive political figures and dictators alike.

This opposition is complicated by the fact that the Sun (which is weak in Libra, the sign of its Fall), is associated was home work for a guy with qualities that are diametrically opposed to those associated with Eris, especially in Aries. Where the Sun in Libra is focused on cooperation, collaboration, and harmony, Eris is combative and volatile. As a result, this transit can awaken your fight-or-flight impulses. It can represent a desire to assert yourself against stronger, more volatile forces, or it can manifest as the urge to run away and hide when the going gets tough.

To complicate matters, by mid-afternoon (around 2:00 p.m. UT), the Moon in Capricorn moves ahead and squares them both, creating a Cardinal T-square, with the Moon at the apex. This can represent a tumultuous — albeit relatively short-lived — period of time wherein your relationships with others may be combative.

The Moon leaves Capricorn and moves into Aquarius early Monday morning. There, it will conjunct Pluto, square Venus, trine Uranus, and ultimately oppose Mars before the day is through. Keep in mind that as the Moon leaves Capricorn, it also takes with it the last remnants of Earth sign energy that we’ll have access to, until Mars enters Virgo on November 25th.

In general, the Aquarius Moon is focused on autonomy, individuality and personal freedoms, while emphasizing shared ideals. As a result, we may expect to see people expressing more radical viewpoints and standing up for what they truly believe in during the next few days.

By Tuesday, Venus retrogrades back and squares Pluto. This is a recurrence of an earlier square between these two planets, before Venus went retrograde, on September 15th. This is a tense transit that can rain on your relationship parade, especially if there is already tension. Problems that have been simmering beneath the surface can come to a head and force you to confront your relationship issues head-on.

This is not the time to deliver an ultimatum or back someone into a corner. This transit can be volatile and can lead to actions and decisions that can’t be taken back later. The Moon joins in, conjuncting and also squaring Venus, which can bring misguided sentimentality and hurt feelings to the mix. Choose your relationship battles wisely during this time — or better yet choose not to do battle at all.

Also on Tuesday, the Sun trines the North Node, automatically sextiling the South Node, because the Moon’s nodes are always in opposition with one another. The trine to the North Node is all about coming to terms with who you are and being more than okay with it. It’s also about bringing the lessons of the past (South Node) into harmony with where you are today.

The Sun next opposes Chiron on Wednesday. This transit can be unsettling as it brings issues of self-worth and self-esteem to the forefront. It can manifest as feeling marginalized or taken for granted, being last on someone’s list, or helping others who then don’t even bother to say thanks.

This aspect pits your ego, will, identity, and life-force (the Sun) against the part of you that doesn’t feel worthy. (Chiron). Or that feels you can never quite earn the approval of others. As oppositions represent a need to integrate competing energies, your challenge will be to find a middle ground — or in this case, a happy medium — between personal sacrifice and self-acceptance.

Thursday’s Moon in Pisces is Void of Course for the entire day. The void of course Moon is a common occurrence; it marks the period of time between the Moon’s last aspect in one sign and its ingress into the next. It’s generally not a time to make decisions or try to nail down finite plans.

That shouldn’t stop you from viewing the Orionid Meteor Showers, though, which peak in the early morning hours. The Orionids are caused by the Earth passing through dust shed by Halley’s Comet. As those particles enter our atmosphere, they produce the bright streaks we call meteors. Although Halley’s Comet itself isn’t returning for this shower, the debris that’s cast off creates this phenomenon.

On Friday, the Sun leaves Libra behind and moves into Scorpio. This indicates a period of seeking meaning in all things and of looking for more substance and depth in our lives. We may stop taking things at face value and ask ourselves, what is really going on here? What does it all mean? We may become less interested in engaging in superficial social activities and opt to work more behind the scenes.

You’re likely to see increased focus in the area this transit takes place in your natal chart. You may find yourself unraveling mysteries about yourself or coming to terms with things you’ve been in denial about in the past. Take some time to look at yourself, your own agendas and hidden motivations during this time, especially as the Sun is in mutual reception with Mars (which it co-rules with Aries).

On Saturday, Venus retrogrades back to conjunct the Sun, just before Mercury goes retrograde. Starting with the Sun / Venus conjunction, this is Venus’s inferior conjunction, when Venus is between the Earth and the Sun. The Sun-Venus conjunction is loving, romantic, and conciliatory, even in Scorpio. And with Venus so closely conjunct the Sun — a condition known as cazimi (in the heart of the Sun) — those qualities are heightened.

When Mercury goes retrograde, Mercury-ruled things naturally start to go a little haywire. Communications tend to run amok, plans get turned on their head, communications devices (computers, electronics, cell phones, etc.) and written communications (emails, texts, letters, etc.) get lost or misconstrued. It’s not a good time to sign contracts or legal documents and not a good time to purchase Mercury-ruled items (automobiles, televisions, computers, and so on). As always, we want to be ready to roll with the punches when making plans and developing expectations.

That’s it for this week. See you next week!
