Weekly Astrology Forecast

Here is the Psychic Scoop Weekly Astrology Forecast for the week of May 20, 2019 – May 26, 2019:

We start this week on Monday with Saturn conjuncting the South Node at 20º Capricorn 12.  As the Moon’s Nodes are always naturally in polarity  — and thus always in opposition to one another — Saturn simultaneously opposes the North Node during this time as well.

This is can be a particularly meaningful transit — personally and universally — as Saturn and the Nodes are tied to both the passage of time and the concept of fate. You want to pay attention to people coming into your life during this time as they’re likely to play a role in facilitating your growth.

You also want to be mindful of your actions (and reactions) regarding love interests and relationship partners.  Saturn may force you to re-evaluate your needs and expectations, as it can manifest as a series of roadblocks that seem impossible to overcome. The Nodes are tied to karma — both the reaping and the sowing of karma — which makes having an awareness of your own contributions so much more important.

On Tuesday. the Sun and Mercury leave Taurus behind and move into Gemini. They conjunct at around 2 in the afternoon (Universal time). This tight conjunction — called Cazimi — refers to a planet being “in the heart” of the Sun, or so close in orb that it becomes a part of it. This is a powerful conjunction, and at 0 degrees is infused with the Mercury’s natural rulership over Gemini. Sudden flashes of insight and awareness are possible so pay attention to your thoughts and ideas during this time.

The Sun’s ingress into Gemini marks the onset of a 28+ day period when our collective focus shifts toward communications and ideas. It’s heralds a time of increased socializing and interacting with others. It’s a good time for exchanging information and bouncing ideas off of others.

The Sun in Gemini is resilient, adaptable, restless and changeable. It’s also very easily bored. It’s the consummate multi-tasker, perpetually interested in gathering facts and learning new things. Gemini is a neutral / androgynous energy. It’s a masculine, mutable air sign, known for its wit, charm and seemingly-endless assortment of random information.

Mercury in Gemini is curious, playful, clever and engaging. It’s interested in many things but is easily distracted and quick to lose interest. It’s quick-thinking but can also be tangential. It’s interested in gathering facts and information, even seemingly meaningless trivia. Mercury in Gemini is great for interacting with others, and for taking care of menial chores — in fact the more menial the chores the more opportunities there will be to do what Mercury in Gemini does best. Juggle several different things at once.

Wednesday’s Mars / Uranus sextile is a high-energy aspect that can have you feeling like you can succeed in anything you set your sites on. There’s not a lot of forethought there; it’s all action, energy and innovation. It’s moving forward in leaps and bounds, pushing past limitations and breaking through whatever once held you back.

Sextiles are creative and conciliatory. They involve planets in complementary signs, ie earth and water (as is the case with the current Uranus / Mars interaction) or fire and air (as is the case with Thursday’s sextile between Mercury and Chiron). But where the Uranus / Mars aspect is dynamic and energetic, the Mercury / Chiron aspect is more introspective and reflective.

Mercury sextile Chiron is incredibly empathic. It makes it easier for us to convey our views to those who seem resistant. It can ease the transition between dissent and acceptance, making it not only okay to disagree but a welcome departure. This transit opens up the pathways toward acceptance and understanding.

Chiron features prominently for the rest of the week too, with a square from Mars on Friday and a sextile from the Sun on Sunday. The square to Mars can be challenging: it can see you fighting against the urge to put your own needs aside in favor of the “greater good.” While that might seem like a valid endeavor, it can also skew your perceptions and see you fighting for something you may not believe in after all.

As Mars is out of bounds and debilitated by sign, it may behave a bit like a wild card here: increasing the impulsive and erratic energy that’s already associated with Mars. It’s a highly volatile and potentially explosive condition that can also see you drawing battle lines with those who don’t share your same political or ideological views.

Fortunately by the end of week we’re back to a calmer, gentler Chiron transit, with a sextile to the Sun on Sunday. This aspect can soften some of that combative Mars energy, as it opens us up to the pain and suffering of others that we may normally overlook. It brings compassion and understanding to the forefront and can make it a little easier to put ourselves in someone else’s shoes.

That’s it for this week. See you next week!
