Weekly Astrology Forecast

Here is the Psychic Scoop Weekly Astrology Forecast for the week of Jul 8, 2019 – Jul 14, 2019:

We start this week with Mercury going retrograde (and conjuncting Mars) in Cancer on Monday. With respect to Mercury turning retrograde, we all know that Mercury-ruled things can go a little haywire during this time. Communications tend to run amok, plans get turned on their head, communications devices (computers, electronics, cell-phones, etc) and written communications (emails, texts, letters, etc.) get lost or misconstrued. It’s not a good time to sign contracts or legal documents and not a good time to purchase Mercury-ruled items (automobiles, televisions, computers and so on).

The good news is that the world really does keep on turning when Mercury goes retrograde. People do fall in love, get married, have babies, win lotteries. In other words, the “unexpected” is not always such a bad thing. So expect the unexpected, and be on the lookout for a few curveballs to be thrown your way — as well as some unanticipated gifts and surprises — over the next few weeks.

Emotions are apt to be running high with the Mercury / Mars conjunction. This is a rather impatient and / or impulsive transit, especially in fiery Leo. You’ll want to think before you speak, especially if speaking turns into lashing out at others. The Mercury / Mars conjunction is fleeting and will pass in a matter of days, so think about what might be said that you won’t be able to take back later.

This aspect can also manifest as carelessness and recklessness. This is an accident-prone transit which can be minor (small cuts, burns, bruises, etc.) or major (automobile accidents, fires and physical violence). Do what you can to release any tension in the safety of your home — or gym — so that it doesn’t come at you from the outside.

Also on Monday, Venus sextiles Uranus and squares Chiron. The sextile to Uranus can break up any of the crystallization that may have been forming in your relationships and can dismantle whatever roadblocks may be standing in your way. Venus/ Uranus is good at getting rid of the debris and clearing a path for you to achieve a more open and progressive expression of love.

But the square to Chiron is a little less easy to navigate. This transit is more about challenges related to establishing clear boundaries and identifying personal values. You may struggle with figuring out what it is you really want and feeling deserving of it. This aspect can bring martyring tendencies to the surface. Causing you to regret or feel guilty about what would ordinarily make you feel good. And prompting you to make sacrifices that you’re likely to resent later on.

On Tuesday, Chiron goes stationary retrograde. This transit can see us looking at how some of our own life experiences — including those that have brought us pain — have led us to express more kindness, compassion and understanding toward others.

This is a time of turning inward and accessing previously undiscovered gifts. Often it’s those experiences that have broken us down that lend themselves to our greatest strengths. The retrograde encourages us to look within and to break through some of the traumas that have been holding us back.

Over the next 5 months (while Chiron is retrograde) you may encounter people for whom you turn out to be the best facilitator for their spiritual growth. But the “Physician Heal Thyself” axiom also applies here. It is through helping others that you’re most likely to uncover the solutions to many of your own most pressing problems.

Also on Tuesday, the Sun opposes Saturn. This isn’t the most comfortable aspect. It pits the Self, Ego and Will (the Sun) against external obstacles and restrictions (Saturn). It forces you to consider all the things that could go wrong, and will more than likely convince you that they will. If you’re feeling overwhelmed with the prospects of making changes in your life against what seem like insurmountable odds, if may be easy to blame it on Saturn.

The Sun conjuncts the North Node (thus automatically opposing the South Node) on Wednesday. This transit can bring someone new your life who turns out to play a meaningful role. Particularly in terms of self-actualization or individuation. As the Nodes are said to be karmic in nature, this person may not be “new” at all, but have strong past life ties.

The Sun / Nodes contact can also describe a change in direction as far as your social relationships are concerned. Aligning yourself with a different group of people or inviting new friends into your circle for example.

Mars squares Uranus and trines Chiron on Thursday. The first part of this transit (the square to Uranus) can bring out the rebel in you and everyone around you. You may feel like bucking the system or challenging other people’s attitudes. This aspect likes to go against the grain so be sure you’re really invested in whatever cause you’re devoting yourself to and not just doing things for shock value.

Fortunately, the second part of this transit (the trine to Chiron) should make it a easier to understand where other people are coming from. This transit emphasizes tolerance and acceptance: it helps you to put yourself in someone else’s shoes, to more clearly see their point of view.

Also on Thursday, there’s a grand water trine in play between the Sun (in Cancer), Moon (in Scorpio) and Neptune (in Pisces). This configuration increases your sensitivity to outside influences and can leave you feeling more susceptible to psychic impressions. This transit can help you wind down your work week on a mellow note; so mellow in fact that you may decide to stay in for the weekend rather than venturing out. It’s a good time to pay attention to your dreams, meditate, get in touch with your creativity and heed your inner voice.

The Moon is void of course in Scorpio for a good part of Friday, until it moves into Sagittarius at around 4pm. The Moon is debilitated in Scorpio, the sign of its fall. But with the grand water trine still in play and its last aspect having been a sextile to Pluto, the good will almost certainly outweigh the not so good.

The void of course Moon is a common occurrence; it marks the period of time between the Moon’s last aspect in one sign and its ingress into the next. Any aspects involving the Moon are temporary are likely to fly by almost imperceptibly. But that doesn’t mean this period of time will be uneventful. There are still always transits in play: planets interacting with one another and blending or communicating their unique energies.

Its ingress into Sagittarius — where it will remain for the rest of Friday, all of Saturday and a few hours into Sunday — is met with one favorable aspect after another. There’s another grand trine (this one in fire signs), involving Mercury, Mars and Chiron. There’s also a conjunction to Jupiter and square to Neptune taking place over the weekend.

The Moon in Sagittarius is expansive and spirited, with a strong focus on personal and spiritual evolution.  It inspires us to think about travel, adventure, spirituality, philosophy and higher mind pursuits. It takes us out of our comfort zones and gets us thinking about how the other half lives.

Finally, there’s a Sun / Pluto opposition on Sunday. This transit has  the potential for Egos to get in the way of accomplishing much of anything. This transit can be wilful and rebellious, so be mindful of loved ones’ need to be themselves. Power struggles, harsh words and trust issues are all indicated here. This is not the time to try to force someone into a specific role or exert your own expectations on others.

That’s it for this week. See you next week!
