Daily Tarot — Strength

Strength

Strength affirmation: I face whatever comes my way with courage and grace.

The card selected for today’s tarot scope is the Strength card from the Aya Takano Tarot, a 22-card majors-only deck created by the artist, in conjunction with a 2010 art exhibit.

Aya Takano is a Japanese painter, superflat artist, manga artist, and science fiction essayist. Her artwork has been shown around the world and is available for purchase through the Artsy website.

This rare, hard-to-find deck is currently out of print but may at some point be available through the Perrotin Art Gallery in Paris.

Strength

The Strength card is the 9th numbered card in the Major Arcana, situated between the Chariot and the Hermit. It correlates astrologically to the sign Leo.

It’s associated with courage, bravery, willpower, strength of character and self-mastery.

This card is associated with overcoming obstacles through sheer will and determination. It says that no matter what life throws at you, you have it within you to succeed. While it can represent roadblocks and obstacles, it can also remind you that where there’s a will, there’s always a way.
