Weekly Astrology Forecast

Here is the Psychic Scoop Weekly Astrology Forecast for the week of May 24, 2021 – May 30, 2021:

This week starts on Monday, with an out of bounds Venus which is in semi-sextile to Mars. The out of bounds condition famously coincides with conflicts in relationship. It can manifest as one partner suddenly expressing an urge to break free or engaging in reckless behaviors. It can be erratic and unpredictable. It can see you responding to ambiguous social cues, or sending them out yourself.

The semi-sextile to Mars encourages you to think about how much you’re giving (Venus) and how much you’re taking (Mars). Or rather how much you’re getting back in return. Hidden resentments will have to be addressed and you’ll have to figure out a way to bring these energies back into balance.

Tuesday’s Moon in Scorpio pulls in a tense 90° aspect between Saturn and Uranus, turning it into fixed t-square (with Saturn at the focal point). This configuration is fleeting — it will last for only a few hours in the afternoon. Still it shines a spotlight on the current transiting Saturn / Uranus square, which may see you engaged in power struggles with those whose views are different from your own.

The Moon is debilitated in Scorpio anyway, and with it forming hard aspects to one planet that’s rooted in tradition and another that wants nothing more than to buck the status quo, there are bound to be conflicts. The Moon / Saturn portion of this configuration is likely to mired in conservative values while the Moon / Uranus portion wants to break down social barriers so try to find a middle ground if you want to preserve the peace.

On Wednesday, there’s a total lunar eclipse 8° Sagittarius 25. This is a Full “Super Moon” eclipse, which will be the closest (and thus biggest and brightest) Full Moon of the year.

The May Full Moon is known as the Full Flower Moon in Native American traditions, so named for the abundance of flowers that bloom during the month of May. But this Moon will change to a deep dark red during the eclipse, as it will be fully immersed in the Earth’s  shadow.

The Full Moon provides an overview of the progress you’ve made since its New Moon counterpoint earlier in the month. Seeds that were planted then will surely have sprouted; do you need to make adjustments or change your course entirely? Now is the time to think about what you’ve accomplished and where you want to go from here.

As Full Moons are said to shine a spotlight on areas in your chart that are affected (by house position and contacts to other planets) you might look to your own natal chart to see where this will play out for you. Because it’s in Sagittarius, it will in this area that you’re invited to expand your consciousness and start thinking more about global issues and concerns.

On Thursday, Venus squares Neptune, with the Moon joining in and turning that aspect into a T-square later in the day. This transit can translate as unrealistic expectations and wishful thinking — especially regarding romantic interests. You may have to check yourself if you find yourself spending too much time daydreaming or wondering “what if”?

This transit is prone to flights of fantasy and can be downright delusional. It’s not the time to put your stock in people who’ haven’t proven themselves to you already, or who have engaged in dubious practices in the past.

By Friday the Moon — in late Sagittarius — is void of course until it moves into Capricorn around 2:30 am. Once there, it only makes favorable aspects (a sextile to Jupiter and a trine to Uranus) for the remainder of the day.

Even though the Moon isn’t particularly happy in Capricorn (the sign of its detriment), these are both positive aspects, with the sextilwe to Jupiter adding a layer of enthusiasm and optimism, and the trine to Uranus indicating an openness to change.

Mercury conjuncts Venus on Saturday. As Venus is tied to partnership and Mercury is tied to communications, the Mercury / Venus aspect represents pleasant social interactions. This is an expressive, demonstrative combination that you can use to your advantage as it brings people together whose main objective is to get along. It’s a good time to go out of your way to make those you care about feel special.

But shortly thereafter Mercury goes retrograde and will remain thus for the next few weeks. Mercury retrograde does have a bit of a bad reputation. It’s known for all things related to Mercury going haywire. Communications tend to run amok, plans get turned on their head, communications devices (computers, electronics, cell-phones, etc) and written communications (emails, texts, letters, etc.) get lost or misconstrued.

It’s generally not a good time to sign contracts or legal documents and not a good time to purchase Mercury-ruled items (automobiles, televisions, computers and so on). Even with Mercury in mostly favorable aspect to other planets, sometimes the best course of action with Mercury retrograde is inaction.

As the week winds down, there’s a Venus / Pluto inconjunct — with the Moon and Mercury both close enough to weight in — on Sunday. This transit can see you having a hard time establishing boundaries, especially with respect to personal indulgences. When is enough enough, or when is it too much? This is what you’ll have to be asking yourself during this transit.

Keep in mind though that Mercury and Venus are both in Gemini, where Mercury is at home and Venus is esoterically exalted. Because of this, any discomfort experienced with the inconjunct aspect is likely to be mitigated.
