Weekly Astrology Forecast

Here is the Psychic Scoop Weekly Astrology Forecast for the week of Mar 19, 2017 – Mar 25, 2017:

This week we see Venus beginning its slow descent from the evening sky into the darkness, Pluto conjuncting its own South Node, and the Sun moving into Aries, marking the onset of the Vernal Equinox (and first day of Spring). This is true for those in the Northern Hemisphere. For those in Southern latitudes it’s exactly the opposite, ie the Autumnal Equinox and the first day of Fall.

With respect to the Venus departure, starting on Sunday it will begin to be hidden from view.  It will remain out of sight (obscured by the Sun’s rays) until it rises heliacally, on March 31st. While Venus is still officially an evening (or Venus Hesperus) star —  setting behind the Sun — it will become increasingly difficult (and then impossible) to view until the end of the month.

As Venus is currently retrograde, we may experience this as our romantic interests similarly retreating or fading away altogether. It can manifest as waning interests on our end, or if can express as seeing our partners pulling away. Another common occurrence with the Venus retrograde is for lovers from the past to resurface during this time.

There isn’t a lot of research on the Pluto / South Node conjunction, as this is a rare occurrence (happening only every 248 yrs). And because Pluto orbital period is so long, it’s an ongoing transit that will span several months (and has been in place — by orb) for the last several months. Still it’s worth noting that this transit coincides with a great deal of political (Capricorn) upheaval (Pluto) in our world.

The Nodes are karmic in nature, with the South Node representing past-life (reaping what we sew) karma. As Pluto is the planet of “mass destruction” — among other things, this transit is one to watch, as it is relevant to our times.

Moving onto Monday, the Sun moves into Aries at 10:28am (UT), marking the onset of the first day of Spring. The Sun is exalted in Aries, meaning that it is expresses its purest essence in this sign. The Sun in Aries signals a time to come alive and see the world through brand new eyes. It’s a time for embracing life fully, without fear or trepidation.

The Equinoxes are also tied to need to find balance in our lives, with the days and nights of relatively equal lengths. The days get longer (in the Northern latitudes) as the nights get shorter from here on out. It indicates a time to reflect on what areas in our own lives are out of harmony and work toward bringing them back into sync.

Starting on Tuesday, and for the next few weeks, everything aside from Jupiter will be what classical astrologers referred to as “besieged.” This means that all other planets (including the Moon) are caught between Saturn and Mars.

Although some classical astrologers specify this as valid only between Mars applying to Saturn, it may be important to watch how this manifests in the world around us. In this scenario, Jupiter could act as the saving grace, prompting us to look at ways in which we need to reevaluate our views on fairness, equality and ideological differences (Jupiter retrograde in Libra).

The Sun inconjuncts the North Node (thus automatically semi-sextiling the South Node) on Wednesday. This transit can see you questioning who you are and what changes you need to make in this lifetime as part of your own evolutionary process. It can manifest as an existential crisis — however momentary that may be. It encourages you to compare the Self you’re showing to the outer world with the Self you envision deep within.

The Aries Sun and Virgo Node may be at odds with one another, as these signs are naturally inconjunct — meaning that they do not share any common dignity, element or triplicity. But they do have certain things in common: like autonomy and self-sufficiency. Therefore this aspect can be put to good use by focusing on how these bodies can work together. It’s a good time to take personal inventory and see what you can do to make improvements in yourself.

On Friday, Mercury squares Pluto and opposes Jupiter, setting up a t-square between these three planets. This is a tense, “draw a line in the sand” aspect that can manifest as conflict with others over political, ideological or philosophical differences and views.

The Mercury / Pluto portion of this aspect is associated with intrusive thoughts, anxieties and fears. It can feel like your mind is playing tricks on you, convincing you that something is real based on rudimentary “facts.” The Jupiter / Pluto aspect can be downright fanatical, while the Mercury / Jupiter opposition can see projecting unrealistic expectations onto others. It can manifest as reading too much into what other people say or promising way more than you can deliver.

This is not the time to try to force your views onto others, although you’re likely to see them trying to force theirs onto you. You’re not going to convince anyone to see your side of an argument and are only likely to incite combative behavior.

You also want to be careful not to let your imagination run away with you during this time. The Mercury / Pluto square can see you becoming increasingly paranoid, while the Mercury Jupiter opposition can see you magnifying things and blowing them all out of proportion, potentially to your own detriment.

Moderation is always the key with oppositions (especially those involving planetary pairs as in the case with Mercury and Jupiter). You want to find the middle ground here: in this case between what you believe in (Jupiter) and how you express those beliefs to others (Mercury).

Venus makes its inferior conjunction (at 5° Aries) to the Sun on Saturday. While Venus is debilitated in Aries, it’s in mutual reception with Mars which somewhat strengthens its position. This is especially useful in the context of relationship, as the Sun / Venus conjunction emphasizes love, affection, beauty and romance, while the Venus / Mars reception emphasizes the urge to merge.

As Venus is retrograding back to the Sun it may bring someone back in from your past. If this is the case keep in mind that it may not last. It may be a “last-gasp” reconnection or it may just be about tying up loose ends. But it’s still a good time to tell those you love exactly how you feel.

That’s it for this week, see you next week!
