Eight of Cups

Eight of Cups affirmation: I release the past and allow the future to unfold.

Today’s card is the Eight of Cups, from the beautiful Crystal Visions Tarot, by Jennifer Galasso. This is a U.S. Games deck, published in 2011.

Crystal Visions Tarot remains true to the classic Rider-Waite 78-card system in much of its symbolism, as well as in card and suit names. The luscious card imagery also illustrates the elemental aspects of each suit, aiding the novice in forming associations with the cards.

Eight of Cups

The Eight of Cups is associated with the Eight of Hearts in traditional playing cards. It correlates astrologically to Saturn in Pisces.

This card is associated with transitions, walking away from something (or someone); leaving something behind that’s no longer fulfilling, and walking towards the unknown.

The Eight of Cups can also represent a painful reckoning and a need to release unhealthy emotional attachments. It requires you to trust that the Universe has something better in store.

Weekly Astrology Forecast — Aug 11 – Aug 17, 2025

Weekly Astrology Forecast

Here is the Psychic Scoop Weekly Astrology Forecast for the week of Aug 11 – Aug 17, 2025:

As we start this week on Monday, Mercury goes stationary direct at 4° Leo 15, after having spent the last 3 weeks in retrograde motion. While Mercury retrograde is known for wreaking havoc with all things related to communications, it going direct doesn’t necessarily bring instant clarity. It just doesn’t work that way. As it goes stationary, it briefly stands still (from our geocentric perspective), as does the current Mercury state.

It will be a couple more weeks (until August 25th) before it crosses its shadow point (the degree at which it went retrograde.) Until that time, even though Mercury is now moving forward again, we can anticipate some of the residual effects of Mercury retrograde — including misunderstandings and miscommunications — even with Mercury moving back into its own sign.

Weekly Astrology Forecast — Aug 4 – Aug 10, 2025

Weekly Astrology Forecast

Here is the Psychic Scoop Weekly Astrology Forecast for the week of Aug 4 – Aug 10, 2025:

As we start this week, on Monday, there’s a semi-sextile between the Sun and Jupiter. The semi-sextile — 30° aspect — facilitates the transition from one sign archetype to the next, in this case, from Cancer to Leo. As a result, this makes for a good time to step outside your comfort zone (Cancer) and show the rest of the world what you’re made of (Leo).

Both of these planets are dignified by sign, with the Sun in the sign it rules and Jupiter in the sign of its exaltation. These are also the two largest bodies, exerting the greatest force. With the Sun and Jupiter in play, it’s a good time to make big moves and expand your personal horizons.
