Here is the Psychic Scoop Weekly Astrology Forecast for the week of May 5, 2025 – May 11, 2025:
Mercury in Aries sextiles Jupiter in Gemini as we start the week on Monday. Mercury and Jupiter are natural polarities, with each ruling opposing signs (Gemini and Sagittarius, or Virgo and Pisces). But the sextile is a conciliatory aspect that begs the question “why can’t we just all get along?” It brings these two planets together to smooth over disappointments and hurt feelings and make everyone feel included.
This transit is great for sitting down and having a heart-to-heart talk with a loved one. It’s a light-hearted and engaging aspect that emphasizes sharing, learning and exchanging ideas. It says you can keep things interesting without going too deep; you can have playful and pleasant encounters with others without worrying about stepping on anyone’s toes.
There’s another sextile, this one between Venus and Pluto, on Tuesday. This will be the third time Venus and Pluto have come together in a 60° (sextile) aspect over the last few months. That’s because Venus was retrograde for about 5-1/2 weeks, during which time it crossed back and forth over a small portion of the zodiac, picking up this sextile to Pluto each time.
This aspect emphasizes sexual charm and charisma. It’s a powerful combination that marks a time of increased self-assurance and confidence. It’s a collaborative aspect that can bring out the urge to merge in people, so don’t be surprised if a partner or love interest starts trying to get frisky. It’s an alluring, seductive aspect that is known for its sex appeal and rarely fails to deliver.
On Wednesday, Mercury conjuncts Chiron, bringing in opportunities to heal yourself through working with and comforting others. It can be cathartic, permitting you to understand exactly what someone else is going through and relate to it on a level you weren’t aware of before.
The Moon is in Virgo on Thursday, but also void of course for a good portion of the day. The void of course Moon is a common occurrence; it marks the period of time between the Moon’s last aspect in one sign and its ingress into the next. And while you may feel (at least temporarily) adrift in a sea of uncertainty, this shouldn’t be a major concern.
Any aspects involving the Moon are temporary and likely to fly by almost imperceptibly. But that doesn’t mean this period of time will be uneventful. There are still always transits in play: planets interacting with one another and blending or communicating their unique energies.
By Friday, the Moon will have moved into Libra and formed a sextile to Mars, which aside from a handful of minor, mostly insignificant aspects, is the only aspect the Moon makes that day. The Moon / Mars sextile highlights the differences between how we’re feeling (the Moon) to behave (Mars). The sextile helps us to find a way to bring these seemingly divergent energies together in creative and cooperative ways.
In the meantime, Mercury is at 29° Aries, which is an anaretic (29th) degree. The 29th (last) degree of any sign is said to be fated. It represents the tying up of loose ends and can manifest as a sense of urgency or destiny. Although Aries is the esoteric ruler for Mercury, it’s not entirely comfortable in this sign. It can indicate impatience, aggressive speech, and a tendency to jump to conclusions and especially at the 29th degree. Keep all this in mind in your interactions with others.
Mercury moves into Taurus on Saturday, where it will join the Sun and Uranus. Mercury in Taurus is patient, practical and serene. It can be slow and methodical, mainly because it doesn’t see the point in ruffling its feathers over things likely to iron themselves out over time. With all these planets in Taurus, you’re more likely to be thinking a lot about your finances, your income, earnings and savings.
It‘s also a good time to look at changes you want to make in your environment (such as home renovations or landscaping) as well. As Taurus is a fixed, feminine earth sign, it’s a good time to think about our value systems, the things that we hold near and dear, which as most of us know by now are not always “things.” We can put good use to this energy by thinking about what is most meaningful for us, and what we can do to cultivate it during this time.
As the weekend comes to an end, on Sunday, the Moon moves into Scorpio and opposes that Mercury in Taurus and then certainly thereafter squares Pluto at 3° Aquarius. This sets up a fixed t-square involving the moon, Mercury, and Pluto. This configuration is fleeting — it will last for only a few hours in the afternoon. Still it shines a spotlight on the upcoming Mercury / Pluto square, which may see you engaged in power struggles with those whose views are different from your own.
The Moon is debilitated in Scorpio anyway, and with it forming hard aspects to one planet that represents thoughts and ideas and another that wants nothing more than to exert control, there are bound to be conflicts. The Moon / Mercury portion of this configuration is likely to be overly sensitive and subjective, while the Moon / Pluto portion wants to take a deep dive into the murky depths of the unconscious, so try to find a middle ground.
