Here is the Psychic Scoop Weekly Astrology Forecast for the week of May 12, 2025 – May 18, 2025:
This week starts on Monday, with a Full Moon in Scorpio and Mercury squaring Pluto. The Mercury / Pluto square can be overly sensitive to criticism at best and deliberately cruel at worst. It’s good for doing research, but not so good for relying on the conclusions you may arrive at. The potential for distorting things or interpreting them to meet your expectations is too high.
The square (90° aspect) increases the potential for minor misunderstandings to get blown out of proportion. This propensity may be even more prominent, with both planets at anaretic degrees. It won’t be the time to back someone into a corner or try to force their hand. It’s best to hold back on setting anything in stone, as the tendency to misconstrue things during this transit is greater than you may realize.
The Full Moon takes place at 4:55 pm UT (or 12:55 pm EDT), at 21° Scorpio 12″. This is known as the Full Flower Moon in Native American traditions, a reference to the abundance of flowers that bloom during the month of May.
The Moon is debilitated in Scorpio, the sign of its Fall. But it’s always an incredibly powerful Moon, as it’s associated with depth, passion, intensity, perception, mystery and esoterica, among many other things. So while you may feel a little less sociable during this time, it’s excellent for delving deep into the mysteries of your own psyche and gaining a better understanding of what makes you tick.
As Full Moons are said to shine a spotlight on areas in your chart that are affected (by house position and contacts to other planets) you might look to your own natal chart to see where this will play out for you.
In general, the Full Moon provides an overview of the progress you’ve made since its New Moon counterpoint back in April. Seeds that were planted then will surely have sprouted; do you need to make adjustments or change your course entirely? Now is the time to think about what you’ve accomplished and where you want to go from here.
On Tuesday, Saturn conjuncts the asteroid Ceres, encouraging you to find ways to marry discipline with sensitivity, and wisdom with Instinct and intuition. This conjunction increases that energy, bringing in a desire to nurture and care for others, courtesy of the Goddess Ceres. She’s connected with the earth, with sustenance, with nourishment and with her love for children and animals.
Also on Tuesday, the Moon — still full — opposes Uranus, just before it goes void of course and then moves into Sagittarius. The Moon / Uranus opposition brings in a somewhat rebellious or non-conformist flair, which can be a good thing as it can break up some of that Saturnine crystallization. And the void of course Moon lasts only a few hours so it should pass by almost imperceptibly.
The Sun sextiles the North Node on Wednesday, automatically trining the South Node. Aspects between the Sun and Nodes can bring people in that you’re working through past-life karma with (South Node) or creating new karma with (North Node). Of course these are often one and the same.
Pay attention to new people coming in during this time, as well as interactions that trigger you emotionally. These are harmonious aspects (trine and sextile) that should make for pleasant interactions with others, as well as opportunities to work together.
On Thursday, Jupiter squares the Lunar Nodes. This aspect is known in classical astrology as “at the bendings.” It’s also known for creating crisis, with emphasis on the concept of fate. As Jupiter represents expansion, enthusiasm and higher mind pursuits, I guess anybody can you know whether you’re an active Trader weather absolutely with the caveat that they’re willing to actively manage their portfolio because if you have volatility you don’t understand this can be a high energy transit that manifests as t that translates as combative or explosive energies. It can manifest as a spiritual or philosophical crisis.
You may find yourself wanting to “give until it hurts,” which can turn you into a martyr for an unworthy cause. But you can’t ignore the positive aspects of this Yod configuration. It’s extraordinarily powerful considering the planets involved, and you may find yourself striving to make sweeping changes in your life.
The asteroid Ceres moves into Aries on Friday. Ceres transits tend to bring nurturing, caring, compassion, and sustenance to the forefront, even in fiery Aries. Named after the Roman goddess of the same name, this asteroid is associated with fruitfulness, fertility, and productivity. These can take on different forms, all within the parameters of this strong feminine archetype.
In Aries, Ceres is likely to focus on protecting home and hearth with courage and bravery. It’s confident and fearless, and willing to take risks to safeguard loved ones. While the Aries archetype is fiercely independent, the emphasis here is still on providing for those you’re enlisted to protect. This would be a good time to assert your allegiance to those you love and to strengthen your familial connections.
On Saturday, the Sun conjuncts Uranus. This aspect is good for expressing yourself in ways that may not be conventional but can inspire tolerance and acceptance in others. The Sun is tied to your life force, ego, will, and sense of Self, while Uranus is tied to thinking outside the box. These planets joining together can be incredibly progressive and innovative. This aspect encourages you to march to the beat of your own drum and express your unique individuality.
Moving on to Sunday, Mercury squares Mars and Jupiter sextiles Chiron. The Mercury / Mars square suggests that communications may be tempestuous, so consider taking a breath and counting to 10 before you speak, especially if what you say can come across to others as angry or abrasive.
This transit can manifest as harsh words, confrontations, temper tantrums and impatience. And it can also be careless and / or reckless which can translate as accident-prone.” Watch your step during this transit, in more ways than one.
Fortunately, the Jupiter / Chiron sextile brings elements like compassion, humility and tolerance to the table, making it a little easier to understand someone else’s point of view. Among many other things, this transit is good for opening your heart to those you love and expressing appreciation and gratitude for all that you have. It’s good for coming together with others and celebrating your allegiances while honoring and accepting your differences. It can herald a time for feeling inspired and optimistic about the future.
That’s it for this week. See you next week!
