Here is the Psychic Scoop Weekly Astrology Forecast for the week of Aug 11 – Aug 17, 2025:
As we start this week on Monday, Mercury goes stationary direct at 4° Leo 15, after having spent the last 3 weeks in retrograde motion. While Mercury retrograde is known for wreaking havoc with all things related to communications, it going direct doesn’t necessarily bring instant clarity. It just doesn’t work that way. As it goes stationary, it briefly stands still (from our geocentric perspective), as does the current Mercury state.
It will be a couple more weeks (until August 25th) before it crosses its shadow point (the degree at which it went retrograde.) Until that time, even though Mercury is now moving forward again, we can anticipate some of the residual effects of Mercury retrograde — including misunderstandings and miscommunications — even with Mercury moving back into its own sign.
Venus conjuncts Jupiter on Tuesday, just as Saturn sextiles Uranus. The Venus / Jupiter conjunction is a ‘feel-good’ transit with the greater and lesser benefics joined together in home-loving Cancer. This is an optimistic, enthusiastic and benevolent transit that can see you feeling so good about yourself that others respond in kind. Those feelings of goodwill are infectious and can result in opportunities that come to you through unexpected channels.
The Saturn / Uranus sextile brings the concepts of new and exciting adventures together with structure and personal responsibility. This portion of Sunday’s transits is excellent for thinking ahead — as in where you want to see yourself this time next year — and brings with it the discipline to set about making that happen.
On Wednesday, Jupiter advances to 14° Cancer, which is both the sign and degree of its exaltation. As Jupiter is tied to generosity, gratitude and luck, you may find yourself feeling particularly benevolent during this time, but don’t overdo it. Still, this placement is said to be warm, gregarious, and benevolent. It can see you feeling generous and so good about yourself that others respond in kind. Those feelings of goodwill are infectious and can result in opportunities that come to you through unexpected channels.
This is also the current and longstanding position of the fixed star Sirius. The combination of Jupiter, Venus, and Sirius, all together in a triple conjunction, could be extremely fortuitous. But again, don’t go overboard.
Thursday’s Aries Moon is void of course until 1:21 p.m. UT, when it moves into Taurus. The void of course designation simply means that a planet or luminary (in this case, the Moon) will be involved with no further aspects to other planets until it changes signs). There are different schools of thought on what to do (and not do — mostly not do) during a void of course Moon.
The generally accepted rules involve not initiating anything or making any major decisions while the Moon is void. These void-of-course periods are fleeting. Some only last moments, while others — like this one — can last several hours. My general rule is that it’s good to be aware of them, but you don’t have to allow them to govern your every move.
The Taurus Moon adds a bit of much-needed Earth sign energy, albeit temporarily. It will be the only planet occupying an Earth sign until the Sun (and Moon) move into Virgo on August 23rd. The Moon is exalted in Taurus, meaning that it’s a revered placement. An exalted planet or luminary is said to express its clearest and purest essence in that sign; in this case, it’s the calm, gentle, fertile sign of Taurus.
The Moon is also in mutual reception with Venus, as each of these planets is posited in the sign that the other planet rules. With that in mind, this could be a good day to lounge around the house, listening to music, baking, decorating, and — depending on where in the world you are located — landscaping and gardening. These are all Taurus Moon activities — reinforced by its mutual reception with Venus in Cancer. The theme of comfort, security, sustenance, and connecting with nature and the Earth is the primary focus.
On Friday, Mercury sextiles Mars. This aspect is all about taking initiative and making things happen. It’s about being assertive and expressing yourself confidently. It’s good for breathing new life into projects that have passed their point of inception but may need a second wind.
Mercury / Mars combinations are good for putting your best foot forward and for making plans that you know you’ll follow through with. In a partnership or team project, it’s excellent for getting everyone on the same page and working together in harmony.
Venus trines the North Node on Saturday. As the lunar Nodes are always in direct opposition with one another, Venus will automatically sextile the South Node at the same time. This aspect can bring new people into your life who feel familiar and who can be instrumental to your evolutionary process.
This aspect is karmic in nature, meaning that the people you meet during this time are here to propel you toward your destiny — and vice versa. Your actions and interactions can have far-reaching repercussions, so make sure you treat the people you meet during this time (and all times) with dignity and respect.
As the week comes to an end, on Sunday, there’s a somewhat loose Grand Air Trine involving the Moon (in Gemini), Mars (in Libra), and Pluto (in Aquarius). While this will be a relatively short-lived configuration (because the Moon moves several hours in one day). It still provides a good opportunity to brainstorm and share your ideas with others.
It’s ideal for initiating plans and launching projects, particularly those that are progressive or innovative. With the Moon (and Uranus) in insatiably curious Gemini, feel free to let your imagination run away with you. Even if you don’t have anything major in the works, this would be a great time to plant seeds.
That’s it for this week. See you next week!
