ten of swordsThe Ten of Swords is associated with the Air sign element and corresponds to the Ten of Spades in traditional playing cards. The astrological correlation is Saturn in Gemini.

The Ten of Swords is indicates defeat. It’s an ending card, a surrender card, and one that represents finality. It’s often associated with betrayal (as in having been stabbed in the back) and can describe damage done that cannot be undone.

This card tells you that you’ve come to the end of the road — at your job, in a relationship, or in chasing a dream that’s impossible to achieve. It tells you that there’s nowhere to go but up, but it also reminds you that tomorrow is a new day, ripe with possibilities.
