Weekly Astrology Forecast

Here is the Psychic Scoop Weekly Astrology Forecast for the week of May 21, 2018 – May 27, 2018:

We start this week with the Sun moving into Gemini on Monday. The Sun’s ingress into Gemini marks the onset of a 28+ day period when our collective focus shifts toward communications and ideas. It’s heralds a time of increased socializing and interacting with others. It’s a good time for exchanging information and bouncing ideas off of others.

The Sun in Gemini is curious, restless, adaptable and changeable. It’s also very easily bored. It’s the consummate multi-tasker, perpetually interested in gathering facts and learning new things. Gemini is a neutral / androgynous energy. It’s a masculine, mutable air sign, known for its wit, charm and seemingly-endless assortment of random information.

The asteroid Pallas Athena leaves Gemini and moves into Cancer, also on Monday. This asteroid is named after the goddess Pallas Athena and represents strategy, wisdom, self-empowerment and creative intellect. In Cancer it can manifest as a greater focus on defending your “turf,” as in your home, family, and children — yours or someone else’s. This is a very loving and sensitive placement, especially as Pallas and Venus conjunct later in the day.

The Sun sextiles Chiron on Tuesday. This aspect opens us up to the pain and suffering of others that we may normally overlook. It brings compassion and understanding to the forefront and can make it a little easier to put ourselves in someone else’s shoes.

Use this time to think about what makes you feel fulfilled on a Soul level, rather than the objects and accomplishments that bring you external comfort and satisfaction. It’s a time for pursuing altruistic or charitable goals. And a time to build on your personal relationship with your own higher power

Mercury opposes Jupiter and sextiles Neptune on Wednesday. Starting with the opposition to Jupiter: you want to make sure you’re not projecting unrealistic expectations onto others. You may find yourself reading too much into what other people say or promising way more than you can deliver. Moderation is always the key with oppositions (especially those involving planetary pairs as in the case with Mercury and Jupiter). You want to find the middle ground here: in this case between what you believe in (Jupiter) and how you express those beliefs to others (Mercury).

The sextile to Neptune is excellent for meditating, journaling, or any type of creative communications (songwriting, poetry, composing love letters, etc.) It’s also a highly sensitive aspect that favors getting in touch with your intuition and paying attention to your dreams.

On Thursday, we have a grand air trine involving the Sun, Moon and Mars. Although the Moon portion of this configuration will only be in effect in the early morning hours, this is still a very harmonious aspect, especially since the Moon will also be in mutual reception with Venus during this time.

This aspect is favorable and positive: It’s all about finding your stride and taking initiative to make things happen. It’s self-assured and confident, and perfect for manifesting your goals. It tells you that whatever you want to attain is completely within your reach and that now is the time to go after it.

We have two more very harmonious trines on Friday: Mercury trine Pluto and Jupiter trine Neptune. Starting with the Mercury / Pluto trine: this aspect is excellent for digging deep and ferreting out information. It’s good for doing research and looking for hidden clues. It’s also good for deep, soulful meaningful conversations that get to the heart of the matter.

The Jupiter / Neptune trine may lead you down a spiritual path or see you pursuing a higher calling. This aspect is both generous, benevolent and altruistic. This is a time for putting your trust in the Universe and cooperating with the powers that be. It’s good for engaging in creative, spiritual or even magical pursuits and is excellent for offering up your intentions to the Universe and fully trusting that they will be fulfilled.

Keep this in mind because Saturday’s one transit (Venus opposite Saturn) may make it hard for you to remain optimistic. With this aspect, you’re pitting the planet that is associated with love, romance, beauty, harmony and personal value systems (Venus) against the planet associated with limitations, obstacles and restrictions.

The goal here is to balance out the opposing forces — in this case Venus and Saturn — rather than allowing them to fall out of sync. An opposition is always about the need for integration. This transit can manifest as relationship conflicts, as in feeling lonely, dejected or shut out. It can undermine your self confidence or see you questioning your self worth.

Try to hold onto the optimism and promise that’s so prevalent in this weeks other aspects — particularly the preponderance of sextiles and trines. Because there’s a lot more where those come from, starting next week.
