Weekly Astrology Forecast

Here is the Psychic Scoop Weekly Astrology Forecast for the week of Apr 8, 2019 – Apr 14, 2019:

There’s a lot happening this week, with both the asteroid Ceres and the planet Jupiter turning retrograde, and a whole slew of hard (squares and oppositions) aspects involving the inner (personal) and outer (transpersonal) planets.

Starting on Monday, we have a Moon in calm, sensuous Taurus, sextiling Venus and Neptune and trining Saturn and Pluto. The Moon is exalted in Taurus and these harmonious aspects to planets occupying water and earth signs should make for a relatively mellow day.

The Taurus Moon is sensuous and indulgent, so if you feel like getting something done, it’s good for more than just lounging around the house. It’s good for putting your culinary skills to use, remodeling your home, doing yard work, gardening or landscaping, or anything that amounts to creating luxury and beauty in your environment.

The Moon moves into Gemini on Tuesday, joining Mars. There are lots of positive aspects associated with the Gemini Moon: insatiable curiosity for one thing, and playfulness for another. Wit, charm and charisma for a few more. It’s also good for socializing and interacting with others. Add Mars to the mix and you’re likely to see people running around like chickens with their heads cut off, or talking over one another in casual conversation.

Moon and Mars in Gemini can be a lot fun, But it can also manifest as information overload — especially in the coming days when the Moon lights up a Jupiter ./ Mercury square (exact on Wednesday) and the Sun squares Saturn, Pluto and the Nodes.

Jupiter goes stationary retrograde on Wednesday, at 24º Sagittarius 20. Jupiter is the planet associated with higher consciousness and spiritual pursuits. When it turns retrograde, it turns all of those spiritual and higher-mind impulses inward. It can bring greater insights and awareness based on what resonates with us personally rather than through external doctrines. Here you can read more about Jupiter retrograde (involving a previous retrograde cycle) for more insights into this phenomenon.

Jupiter will be retrograde for four months (until August 12th). Use this time to think about what makes you feel fulfilled on a Soul level, rather than the objects and accomplishments that bring you external comfort and satisfaction. It’s a time for pursuing altruistic or charitable goals. And a time to build on your personal relationship with your own higher power.

Also on Wednesday, Mercury sextiles Pluto and trines the North Node. This combination is great for putting your head together with like-minded people have having some lively — albeit potentially heated — conversations. The Mercury / Pluto aspect is all about deep thoughts and penetrating insights. But you don’t want to keep these to yourself. The sextile speaks of joining hands with others, and sharing information that causes you to stop and think.

The Mercury / North Node aspect is all about taking an active role in group discussions. Remember that there needs to be a good balance between give and take: don’t try to force your views on others, or you could wind up alienating them.

As the Nodes are always opposite one another, this means that Mercury is also trining the South Node. It makes for a good time to rally your friends together and share ideas and interests. It’s about joining together with like minded people in whatever capacity. This is especially good for artistic and creative gatherings, such as concerts, performances and theater productions.

Venus conjuncts Neptune on that day too. This aspect is strengthened by the fact that Neptune is the modern ruler of Pisces and Venus is exalted there. Neptune is also the higher octave of Venus. This conjunction is associated with the purest forms of beauty, art and love.

It is merging completely with others — and with the Universe — and in this respect it’s associated with all of those areas that bring us together in ways that we can relate to one another — through things like music, romance, dreams and psychic connections. It’s visionary, mystical and idealistic. It’s also incredibly compassionate and altruistic. On a personal level it can inspire us to strive for ecstasy, nirvana and bliss.

There is one less positive transit taking place on Wednesday though, that of the Sun squaring Saturn.  While the Sun is exalted in Aries (and on this day at its exact degree of exaltation) — and Saturn is in its own sign in Capricorn — the square is a stressful aspect that generally manifests as conflict and tension. This transitis a bit sobering, and can leave you feeling melancholy.

At this point, that Gemini Moon will be involved in a mutable t-square with Mercury and Jupiter.

This energy is likely to get amped up by the t-square with Mercury and Jupiter, but lunar transits are fleeting and in this case the Moon goes void of course (and remains as such going into Thursday) at around 6:30pm. The void of course Moon is a common occurrence; it marks the period of time between the Moon’s last aspect in one sign and its ingress into the next.

Any aspects involving the Moon are temporary are likely to fly by almost imperceptibly. But that doesn’t mean this period of time will be uneventful. There are still always transits in play: planets interacting with one another and blending or communicating their unique energies.

The Mercury / Jupiter square (involved in the aforementioned t-square) perfects on Friday. With Jupiter retrograde in its own sign, and Mercury in detriment. This transit can manifest as an exaggerated emotional state or dramatic mood swings. As a result, you may be feeling feel particularly energetic and enthusiastic while this aspect is in play. The potential for overdoing things — as in over-committing, over-indulging and over-extending yourself — is strong.

You want to temper some of that excess sensitivity with some good old fashioned common sense, especially if you’re inclined to attract people to you who drain you emotionally. And be careful not to make promises you can’t keep or annoy or others with your outlandish ideas.

Also on Friday the Sun squares the North and South Lunar Nodes, while Mercury sextiles Saturn. Square (90º) aspects to the Nodes are referred to as “at the bendings” in classical astrology.  In particular, this aspect is at the North bending which is a highly visible placement. Pay attention to what you put out there — what face you show to the outer world, and how you represent yourself.

The Sun at the Node’s bendings sets up a natural t-square which can manifest as a sense of frustration over discrepancies between what you’re experiencing internally and the image you feel the need to portray. This may be further compounded by the Sun / Pluto square the following day (on Saturday).

This aspect can be extremely volatile. It can erupt into power struggles or confrontations with others. Intense anger (rage), trust issues and overreactions are all potential manifestations of this transit, as are a desire for privacy and a need to play things much closer to the vest. One positive aspect of this transit — among many — is the urge to get to the bottom of things, leaving no stone unturned.

We end the week with a couple very welcome trines (90º aspects) on Sunday: one between the Sun and Jupiter and the other involving Venus and the North Node. The Sun / Jupiter trine — especially with both planets dignified by sign — is one of the more fortuitous transits there are. It brings the planet that rules growth, expansion and personal evolution into harmony with the Self. It represents feeling good about yourself. Feeling upbeat, optimistic, generous and carefree. It can manifest as expecting only the best and having the Universe respond in kind.

The Venus / Node trine can bring new people into your life who feel familiar and who can be instrumental to your evolutionary process. This aspect is karmic in nature, meaning that the people you meet during this time are here to propel you toward your destiny — and vice versa. Your actions and interactions can have far reaching repercussions so make sure you treat the people you meet during this time (and all times) with dignity and respect.
