The Timing of a Hidden Prophecy

The Timing of a Hidden Prophecy: I did not look for the tarot, the tarot found me through the visions I received in vivid color.

These visions were kind of spooky but also very amazing and inspired me to learn everything I could about the tarot. The tarot is your best teacher and will show you the root of the situation, or point out the best direction for you to take, or give you something to think about, or help you activate your intuition, or help you on your journey of spiritual development.

My Great Grandmother was a Master Tarot Card and Cartomancy reader and my mother is a Master Cartomancy reader, so the apple did not fall far from the tree.

When it’s your time to work on your life purpose the universe is going to help you get there one way or the other.

Did you know there are hidden prophecies related to the Tarot Cards that are enumerated five? These cards represent the time of an unknown unexpected change that will be revealed to you.

Tarot Card of the Week: Release

releaseCard of the Week: Sept 18 – 24, 2017

Release

This week we honor the first day of Fall (for those in the Northern Hemisphere). This is known as the Autumnal Equinox (or Vernal Equinox for those in the Southern Hemisphere), referring to the days and nights being relatively equal.

The Autumnal Equinox coincides with the Sun moving into Libra (which occurs on Friday, September 22, at 8:01 pm UT) and the beginning of Fall. The Sun in Libra is all about striving for balance and equilibrium.

It shifts our collective consciousness toward thoughts of fairness and impartiality. It’s objective and open-minded, willing to weigh all sides of an argument and listen to all points of view.

From a symbolic standpoint, it is associated with reaping what we have sewn and harvesting what we have grown. It speaks of conserving our energy and making preparations for the longer colder nights. And it speaks of getting rid of the dead wood in our lives and clearing away the debris.

As the seasons change so must we change. We must release whatever may be holding us back in our lives, whether that means material possessions, certain people in our lives, or outdated beliefs.

Tarot Card of the Week: The Star

Mary El Tarot

The StarTarot Card of the Week: Sep 11 – Sep 17, 2017

The Star

On the heels of recent events that may have seen us questioning our options and perceptions, comes a reminder that even in our darkest hours there is still room for hope. There’s still compassion, redemption and the promise of salvation.

The Star card — from Marie White’s stunning Mary-el Tarot — brings this reminder to life, with the Star taking an angelic form and spreading the love out over a sea of humanity.

The angel figure in this card glides through, above and among an infinite crowd of nameless / faceless beings. She is above them and at one with them at the same time. A unicursal hexigram is imprinted on her gown and the stigmata markings of Christ are imprinted on her skin.

The human figures in this card spread out as far as the eyes can see, becoming one with the landscape and the angel herself. You can see their forms becoming less and less distinct as they blend into the hills and valleys that stretch back toward the horizon.

As Venus moves forward to conjunct the North Node, we may be thinking more about how we are all apart of one another. This transit is associated with communion, compassion and unconditional love.

Tarot Card of the Week: Princess of Wands

Princess of Wands

Tarot Card of the Week: Sept 4 – Sept 10, 2017

Princess of Wands

It’s good to be alive! With Mercury, Venus, Mars and the North Node all in Leo at the start of the week, it’s a good time for strutting your stuff and showing the rest of the world all that you are made of.

It’s also a good time to trust your instincts, pursue your passions and revel in the spirit of adventure.

The Princess of Wands (the Druid Craft Tarot’s version of the Page of Wands) — is all about seizing the moment and embracing your experiences with every fiber of your being.

The Princess of Wands is passionate, confident and adventurous. She’s not afraid to put herself out there and show the rest of the world what she’s made of. She’s enthusiastic and eager to make things happen. She may not always think things through though; she’s more interested in getting things moving than seeing them through to fruition.

Like all of the Pages in the tarot, there’s the promise of a wide open road ahead of you. A world of possibilities that have yet to be discovered. And unlimited resources for you to tap into.

Tarot Card of the Week: Nine of Pentacles

Nine of PentaclesTarot Card of the Week: Aug 28 – Sep 3, 2017

Nine of Pentacles

Now is the time to count your blessings and to express gratitude for all of the wonderful things you’ve accomplished in your life.

The Nine of Pentacles speaks of shifting your attitude to one of gratitude. It speaks of attracting abundance and prosperity — not just with respect to money and material possessions, but also to your own sense of self-worth.

It’s about being grateful for all you’ve acquired and recognizing that you deserve it. It’s about developing a prosperity consciousness, knowing that the Universe offers up unlimited abundance to those who do.

The Nine of Pentacles — this version, from Vanessa DeCort’s beautiful Sun & Moon Tarot, is called “Gain” — represents that intricate and fulfilling balance between expressing gratitude and achieving prosperity.

It also refers to that sense of satisfaction that comes from knowing that you are where you are not because you’ve been lucky or have been the benefactor of someone else’s generosity.

It’s been through your own hard work and determination (as seen in the Eight of Pentacles) that’s led you to where you are today.

Tarot Card of the Week: The Eclipse

whispering-tarot-eclipse

Tarot Card of the Week: Aug 21 – Aug 27, 2017

The Eclipse

This week’s card honors the New Moon Total Solar Eclipse, which is taking place on Monday, August 21st at 28° Leo 52.’

The Eclipse card is the Whispering Tarot’s version of the Moon card, which from an astrological perspective is tied to feelings, emotions, intuition and primal instincts, as well as the unconscious mind.

It relates to security issues and needs which can translate to insecurity, uncertainty, fears and apprehensions. These are all emphasized in the Tarot’s version of the Moon.

It can manifest as confusion, uncertainty or paranoia, especially when we try to analyze it logically, which is foreign to the realm of the Moon.

Just as we can’t fully appreciate the beauty of the Moon in the light of day (consciousness), we struggle to grasp its archetypal meaning through the lens of logic or reason.

Tarot Card of the Week: The Magician

the MagicianCard of the Week: July 31 – Aug 6, 2017

The Magician

As Uranus officially turns retrograde in Aries this week, you may see many ideas presenting themselves in a whole new light, along with the means to accomplish them.

The Magician card reminds you that you have everything you need at your disposal. If you have been having a hard time putting your skills to the test at work or with something you are wishing to build this is the time you find that everything falls into place for you.

You have the energy, drive and ambition to reach your goals all you need is to take that first step to launch in the direction you wish to find yourself. By being practical and following your heart you can shed that which is not working for you and take on a whole new persona in relation to your work.

The colors on this card — from the Golden Tarot of Klimt — give an idea as to the attributes which surround you. The brown background keeps you stable and practical, while the red on the dress shows determination and action and the yellows represent the ideas that you have.

Notice the snake curling around the right arm as if something is consciously being shed and changed in order to tune into what you wish to accomplish.

Tarot Card of the Week: Five of Cups

Mary El Tarot

Five of Cups

Tarot Card of the Week: July 24 – July 30, 2017

Five of Cups

You may be dealing with relationship issues this week that force you to face some difficult realities. You could be struck by a sense of discontent and disillusionment over what once seemed like a “magical” union but is now developing cracks. Misunderstandings or miscommunications can abound, sending you hurdling back to earth and back to the reality of your situation.

Look at the imagery in this card. We see a mythical Unicorn seated atop an old-fashioned wishing well. At first glance it looks like something you’d expect to come across in a fairy-tale. But if you look closer, you can see that the Unicorn is not seated at all. He’s trapped in the well and has been hobbled, immobilized by his unfortunate circumstances.

The water flowing from the sides of the well has slowed down to a trickle. He looks away from the set of withering vines on the left and toward those that are lush and plentiful on the right. The skeleton key symbol over his heart is reminiscent of the astrological glyph used for Greek Mythology’s wounded healer, Chiron.

How might this imagery apply to you? And what can you learn from the circumstances that make this card now relevant in your life?

Tarot Card of the Week: Queen of Cups

Queen of Cups

Card of the Week: Jul 17 – Jul 23, 2017

Queen of Cups

This week is going to be about taking care of yourself as well as others and if there has been any unbalance between the two lately then it’s time to take a look at that.

There is a touch of the fairy about this image — the Queen of Cups from Nathalie Hertz’s fantastic Faerie Tarot — and predominance of the colour green shows that there is healing around for you.

You may wish to choose where and whom you deliver this healing to as if you need more energy for yourself there is no use giving it out to others when you could be replenishing your own reserves.

Any pet project you have going on or in the pipeline will need careful surveying today and the finishing touches may need to be put in place.

There is help at hand for this as the white petals float down from the tree in the background giving new thoughts that come from nowhere to help you.

Tarot Card of the Week: Strength

Strength

Tarot Card of the Week: July 10 – July 16, 2017

Strength

This week you may need to dig deep to find your inner reserves of strength and power. You may be called upon to tame your inner beast and harness your fears.

The Strength card is a card of self-mastery. It’s all about mind over matter and gaining control over the things in your life that are at risk for spiraling out of control.

It refers not to physical strength but to courage, will-power and self-control. It can also mean finding an appropriate outlet for something that you may have responded to in a less than favorable manner in the past.

The Strength card indicates a need to master your fears and conquer your demons. It speaks of staying grounded and being steadfast in the face of danger, no matter what curve-balls the Universe throws your way.

You may need to put on a brave face and tackle the things that frighten you or take you outside of your comfort zone. You may also need to be kind to yourself and tend to your own needs with the same loving care that you’re used to doling out to others.

Tarot Card of the Week: Lizard

LizardTarot Card of the Week: June 26 – July 2, 2017

Lizard

This week you may find yourself needing to defend your belief systems to others. You may be called upon to stand your ground and express your views with courage and conviction.

This is not going to be the time to waiver or back down. It’s all about standing up for what you believe in, even if you find yourself at odds with the masses.

The Lizard — or Seven of Branches in the Animal Wisdom Tarot — is associated with the Seven of Wands in traditional tarot. It’s all about holding your ground and not allowing yourself to be backed into a corner. It’s about refusing to take the easy way out or to concede defeat.

Look at how vibrant and colorful this lizard is. He’s not about to be toned down or forced into complacency. His confidence may be bolstered by the branches that frame him on either side, but you can see that they offer little protection.

The rainbow behind him though says that he’s standing up for something he truly believes in. His ideals are noble and his intentions are grand — even as he loudly proclaims them.

Card of the Week: Summer Solstice

Card of the Week: June 19 – 25, 2017

Summer Solstice

The Sun moves into Cancer this week (on Wednesday, June 21, 2017), marking the onset of the Summer Solstice as well as the longest day of the year.

This is measured by the amount of time between Sunrise and Sunset for those in the Northern Hemisphere; it’s exactly the opposite (Winter Solstice and shortest day of the year) for those in the Southern Hemisphere.

This card — from Steven D. Farmer’s gorgeous Earth Magic Oracle deck —  is called “Radiance” and honors the Sun’s role in giving us the longest day of the year, i.e., the Summer Solstice.

When we think of the Sun, we think of warmth, light and life. It warms our spirits as well as our bodies; it brightens our moods as well as the outside world, and it brings life to our dreams and goals as well as to every living thing on the planet.

It refers to the wonder and glory of being alive. Of feeling warm, confident, radiant and spirited. Its attitude is that “everything is as it should be” today, for you and in the world around you.
