Develop your Sixth Sense with a Pendulum

pendulum2I first started developing my sixth sense with a pendulum, I must have been about 14-years old, and I didn’t know what I was doing, but realized that the back and forth swing of the pendulum was mesmerizing and actually put me in “alpha state.”

It helped me clear my mind so I could get the right answer to the yes and no questions I was asking. It took some practice.

So in my opinion, if you are first starting off trying to develop your sixth sense, then the practice of using a pendulum is the way to go. It’s a simple and ordinary little device that helps you communicate with your higher self, so you can access Divine Guidance when you do it.

You don’t need to be “gifted” all you need to do is develop that sixth sense that we all have. And it will open up this sense to where you can become more “psychic” in all aspects of your life and even do readings for others.

One of the reasons you might choose to use a pendulum, is that every time you develop another gift that you can use to communicate with spirit, your overall vibration gets higher.

Tarot Card of the Week- Queen of Pentacles

Queen of PentaclesTarot of the Week – May 22 – May 28, 2017

Queen of Pentacles

This week we explore the world of the Mystic Faerie Tarot. These sweet cards have a mystic earthy feel to them.

Fairies seem to be appropriate for spring when all is in bloom, and the deck depicts a certain mystic glow of light that represents fairies perfectly. From the deck, we pull the Queen of Pentacles, your tarot card of the week.

The Fairy Queen or Queen of the Fairies was a figure from folklore who was believed to rule the fairies. Based on Shakespeare’s “A MidSummer Night’s Dream,” in English-speaking cultures, she is often named Titania or Mab.

Titania was a woman to contend with, furiously loyal and protective, she embodies what all women are with that natural tendency to protect the most vulnerable among us. As you can see she is contemplating the great abundance around her.

She lacks for nothing, yet she sits alone contemplating wondering how she can make her world a better place. She is in charge of her dominion and all around her, and by sheer force of will, and hard work, she maintains a beautiful home and kingdom around her.

Tarot Card of the Week: King of Pentacles

King of PentaclesTarot Card of the Week: Apr 17 – Apr 23, 2017

King of Pentacles

This week I present you with one of my favorites cards in the Mythic Tarot Deck, the King of Pentacles. The card tells the story of King Midas, who could turn everything he touched into pure gold.

He’d done a favor for the Goddess Dionysus, and she granted him any wish he wanted. Without thinking, he asked that everything he touches turn to gold. Unfortunately, the dream came true.

His food, his servants, his dogs, everything turned into gold. Including his own beloved daughter. He begged the Goddess to take the gift back. She did by having him wash is hands in a magical river and everything went back to how it was.

The moral of the story? He was already a wealthy man, no golden touch was needed for true happiness. The King of Pentacles holds a coin representing money. He sits on his throne, decorated with the heads of golden goats, behind the throne we see his servants and a pile of money at his feet.

The goat which represents Capricorn in the background tells us the King is a planner and brilliant strategist.

Tarot of the Week Nine of Wands

Nine of Wands

Tarot Card of the Week: Jan 30 – Feb 6 2017

Nine of Wands

The Nine of Wands in the Mystic Dreamer Tarot Deck represents courage, persistence, a test of faith and resilience. All these powers are at your disposal when you see this card in a reading.

The Suit of Wands represents the element of Fire. The card meanings of “wands” are associated with: energy, spirituality, inspiration, determination, strength, intuition, creative thinking, ambition, and growth.

Depending on other cards, this one could either help clarify a work or relationship situation.  So let’s first take a look at the image.

Here we see a beautiful woman, a representation of our psyche the intuitive side of us, she is our sixth sense. She looks thoughtfully on to choices she has to make. She’s bathed in an ethereal, glow. She contemplates what do to as she struggles for enlightenment.

She has traveled a long way and is tired, she is finally coming to the end of something, a particular task or finishing up something at the last minute. You may feel like you are challenged by setbacks but somehow you see everything through just in time.

Tarot Card of the Week: King of Cups

Tarot of the Week: Dec. 26 – Jan 1
King of Cups

The King of Cups sits thoughtfully as depicted in Mystic Dreamer Tarot (by Heidi Darras and Barbara Moore . He is a man of urgent passions, intelligent and ready to solve any problem that comes his way. Behind him are turbulent seas, shadows and darkness, but it doesn’t seem to faze him much because relies on his strength and judgement.  He may seem frustrated, but he skillfully calms himself among the turbulence to think things through.

The suit of Cups is all about compassion, love, strength and empathy. The King of Cups represents the balance between emotions and intellect. You may be thinking with your heart, but the King of Cups urges you to think with your head and looks at things in a different perspective.

When you see the King of Cups you can be assured you are very much in control of the situation.  You have a deep understanding of your feelings and you are ready to connect accordingly. When life throws you a curve ball, you can draw from the strength of your maturity level, and really take a thoughtful look at what is good for you, and what is not. You also can look at a situation while everyone else is panicking and approach the chaos around you with grace.

Tarot Card of the Week – The Lovers

gilded-lovers

Tarot Card of the Week: Nov 7 – Nov 13, 2016

The Lovers

Using the Gilded Tarot the sensual and smoldering Lovers is drawn for this week.  The light of the universe shines on these two, watching over them, and celebrating in their love and connection for each other.

The Lovers card is one representing the harmony of the universe, a glimpse of true mind, body and spirit connection with someone or even something, depending on the reading.

In Tarot, the lovers can be a bond between friends, a mutually spiritual attraction to each other, that leans to a soulmate connection. There is a solid trust in these two Lovers, they give each other strength, confidence. They are prepared to weather the storms of life together. There is an intimate and close relationship between the two whether it’s sexual or spiritual.

The Lovers represent perfection, harmony and mutual attractiveness. Their trust in one another gives them strength and confidence to overcome the obstacles in life.

The bond that the two lovers has created is incredibly strong and is often reflective of a marriage, soul mate connection or very intimate and close relationship.

Tarot Card of the Week – The Fool

FoolCard of the Week: Sep 26 – Oct 2, 2016:

The Fool

You’re only given a little spark of madness, you mustn’t lose it.
~ Robin Williams

The Fool of the Witches Tarot deck is on a ledge, his foot so very close to the edge we feel almost scared for him. There is his trusty dog, a representation of the universe that is keeping him on the path.

The Fool looks up, and doesn’t care where he is going but he is happy in the moment.

The Fool in the major arcana of the Tarot, is numbered zero, which is the number of unlimited potential and unlimited possibilities. It can be considered the first card in the deck or the last, doesn’t really matter where he falls.

If you look at the card you can see the fool doesn’t seem to care where he’s been or where he is going, but he is jubilant and carefree. He doesn’t care what is behind him or in front, but only about the present moment.

When you see the Fool in a Tarot reading it represents a need to change things, to start fresh, or take a different direction.

This card is all about personal growth and development which means sometimes taking risks, not looking where you are going, but simply plunging in.

Tarot of the Week: Two of Swords

two of swordsTarot Card of the Week: Aug 29 – Sept 4, 2016
Two of Swords

This week’s card is the Two of Swords from the Mythic Tarot.  It’s a card about difficult choices.

In this card the man and the woman represent choices you may need to make this week. You could find yourself in the middle trying to make a decision that will avoid conflict in your life.

The suit of Swords in the Tarot is associated with action, change, force, power, oppression, ambition, courage and conflict.  An action you take could be constructive or destructive.

Swords are tricky as they can also mean hatred, enemies, battles at work or at home.

The Two of Swords therefore serves as a reminder that life’s decisions are frequently quite difficult and raise the possibility of painful consequences.

However, you must “take the bull by the horns” and make your decisions with your best intentions, fully aware of the possible consequences. Avoidance will ultimately lead to a greater conflict.

That “Old Black Magic” – Turning negative into positive energy

Black Magic

magicpotionsWhat is Black Magic?

  • In some Pagan communities black magic is simply applied magic that is done in a negative manner. Traditionally, Black magic can include but is not limited to:
  • ~Magical workings that impact free will of others
  • ~Magic performed to bring about destruction or harm like with cursing or hexes.
  • ~Magic invoking the spirit realm for a negative purpose
  • ~Magical workings that are baneful and restrict or eliminate the actions of others.

However, black magic doesn’t have the kind of power you may think. The only way you can give black magic any power is if you believe in it. The simple truth is there are only two forces in the universe, Negative and Positive forces, the co-exist. So it’s natural in the nature to create your reality with positive and negative thoughts.

Tarot of the Week: Five of Pentacles

Five of PentaclesTarot Card of the Week: June 6 -June 12, 2016

Five of Pentacles

The New Mythic Tarot, is one of my favorite decks. All cards represent the characters in mythology that are our archetypal selves.

Homer told the story of Daedalus, who is represented in the Five of Pentacles. Daedalus was a proud man, full of ego. He was one of the greatest artists of his time and built and incredible labyrinth in Crete. He thought himself so brilliant that no other person could come close to what he could accomplish. The only one was his nephew Perdix, who was just as talented as he.

In this card he killed his nephew out of jealous and he creeps away from his workshop in darkness of midnight. The workshop behind him is adorned with pentacles at the door as a symbol of his great success. He must walk away from that success now to hide the murder and jealousy he committed.

A very sad story of ego and pride. So the Five of Pentacles is a warning card. When you see this in the reading you could be suffering a number of things. Loss, being the first, since Daedalus regretted his actions and went away in pain, therefore leaving us the fable, that we should be careful or AWARE of how we are seeing others.

Tarot of the Week: Strength

StrengthTarot Card of the Week: May 16, 2016- – May 22, 2016
Strength

A beautiful woman sits over a lion.  She appears calm and without fear as she is surrounded by wild beasts.  If you look closely on the card, she stretches out her hand it may be a glow of inner energy.  She has given a golden touch to each of the big cats and has captivated them into her power. The strength of her gilded hands has overcome the cats with total and pure enlightenment.   In a moment of grace, your crown chakra is opened in your inner nature awakens to your inner strength which is greater than your natural wildness

The woman as a representation of our higher selves has tamed the lion, our shadow self.  She has tamed our base passions and desires that need to be controlled.  And so this card is about having inner strength in order to gracefully deal with life and its problems in a manner that examines our courage and compassion.

The Strength card doesn’t necessarily mean brutal physical strength, but that inward strength we all have. This card reflects a compassionate approach. When you see this card in a reading you are like the woman who offers love and patience to the dangerous lion in order to tame him. Your treatment of others with love and compassion will get you exactly what you want.
