You can also select a card from the original New Moon reading post, which was published on January 25th.

This month’s results are posted below. These cards reveal your specific message for the Aquarius New Moon that takes place on Saturday January 28th at 0:06 am UT (or Friday. January 27th at 7:06 pm EST).

This New Moon occurs at 8° Aquarius 15. The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “A Flag is seen turning into an Eagle.” This is a timely symbol, which speaks of empowering ourselves and speaking our truths, through politics, patriotism or social activism.

The following cards represent twelve different areas of focus. The represent the Moon’s transit trough each degree of every sign throughout her 28-day lunar cycle.

There is one card for each of the 12 different zodiac signs, which will be turned over and revealed — with a special message for you — in time for Saturday’s New Moon.

These messages are derived from the Sabian Symbols, which were developed in 1925 when clairvoyant Elsie Wheeler and astrologer Marc Edmund Jones received messages from the world of spirit for every degree of the zodiac.

If you would like where (in which house or area of life) your symbol takes place for you, feel free to post your birth information (date — spelled out, time and place of birth) — in the comments section below, and we’ll be happy to look at it and let you know.

The messages outlined below were derived from the Sabian Symbols, which were devised by medium Elsie Wheeler and astrologer Marc Edmund Jones in 1925.

Here are the interpretations for each of the positions, starting with card 1:

Card 1 — 4 Aries TWO LOVERS ARE STROLLING THROUGH A SECLUDED WALK.

If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 4th degree of Aries will resonate with you during this lunar cycle. The Moon transits this point on February 1st.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “Two lovers are strolling through a secluded walk.” You might not expect to see such a vibrant or colorful image associated with this symbol, but the Moon is in a very close conjunction with Mars when it crosses that degree. Mars is the planet associated with energy, action and momentum, emphasized by its placement in Aries.

This symbol speaks of spending time with those you love, both literally (as in walking hand-in-hand) and figuratively (as in moving in the same direction and being on the same path).

It can indicate a new romance, and if so one that is probably fast-moving. One that is also ardent and all-consuming, courtesy of the Moon / Mars conjunction on February 1st.

This symbol speaks of closeness and intimacy. But also spirit, warmth and passionate interludes.

This is a time for connecting more deeply with a loved one. The “secluded walk” aspect may represent shared secrets. Or it may be a romance that has been kept from the public eye. But the theme here is closeness and togetherness. Walking hand in hand. Being on the same page and traveling the same path.

Card 2 — 2 Taurus AN ELECTRICAL STORM ILLUMINATES THE HEAVENS AND THE FORESTS.

If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 2nd degree of Taurus will resonate with you during this cycle, which takes place on February 3rd.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “An electrical storm illuminates the heavens and the forests.” The Moon in exalted in Taurus — with its degree of exaltation just one degree away from this point. An exalted planet or luminary is said to express its clearest and purest essence in that sign, and there’s nothing like a giant bolt of lightning to drive the idea of clarity and illumination home.

This symbol speaks of flashes of insight and awareness that seem to come from out of nowhere but bring with them those “aha moments” that suddenly make everything more clear.

The Moon semi-sextiles Venus when it crosses this point, which tells us that it’s probably in the love department that you’re seeking clarity. Be aware though that this symbol can also indicate a new romance, and if so it will be one that comes out of the blue, with lightning fast speed.

This is a time for gaining new insights and for opening your eyes to things that haven’t been clear — up to now. Those flashes of brilliance and enlightenment may come as a wake-up call, spurring you into action. This symbol tells you to be ready for anything. Take those unexpected bursts of awareness and use them as a catalyst for change.

Card 3 — 0 Gemini A PEACOCK PARADING ITS SPLENDOR ON THE TERRACE OF AN OLD CASTLE.

If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon crossing 0 degrees of Gemini will resonate with you during this cycle. This takes place on February 5th.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “A peacock parading its splendor on the terrace of an old castle.” The peacock is arguably the most regal and majestic bird known to mankind, with the white version just rare and beautiful as its more colorful counterpart.

This symbol speaks of appreciating the finer things in life, as well as immersing yourself into the opulence and splendor that surrounds you. It reminds you that you’re worthy of all that you’ve attracted and attained, and that you have every right to strut your stuff proudly wherever you may go.

There are also elements of honor and integrity associated with this card. The peacock is a graceful creature that commands attention without really doing anything. So it’s a reminder that you don’t have to work on impressing others. Your presence is enough.

The Moon sextiles Venus when it crosses this point, bringing the two most feminine and receptive archetypes together. And as planets at 0 degrees represent new beginnings that are infused with the essence of their signs. In this case it’s Aries and Gemini, which reminds you to never get so full of yourself that you forget to have fun.

Card 4 — 20 Cancer VENETIAN GONDOLIERS IN A SERENADE.

If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 20th degree of Cancer will resonate with you during this cycle. This takes place on February 8th.

The Sabian symbol for this degree is: “Venetian gondoliers in a serenade.“This is an interesting symbol for that transit as it also is part of a rather stressful grand cross involving the Moon, Jupiter, Pluto and Uranus. A grand cross in cardinal signs can see you either feeling like the walls are caving in, or feeling like you’re stretched to your limits.

Under those circumstances, who could blame you for wanting to escape? This symbol can refer to literal travel — as in getting away from it all — but if can also express itself figuratively, as in a desire to float along in a sea of tranquility, without a care in the world.

The Moon is at home in Cancer, and Cancer is at home on the water. As water represents emotions, the unconscious and the feminine mystique, you can expect all of these to make appearances this month.

If you can get away somewhere this month than by al means do so. But if you can’t, all is not lost. This symbol invites you to cast aside your worries and find other ways to satisfy the energy depicted in this card. Take some time to pamper yourself, explore the colorful sights and sounds in your own neighborhood, and find ways to drift along in a romantic fantasy of your own.

Card 5 — 7 Leo THE WONDER OF THE CONSTELLATIONS OF STARS IN THE NIGHT SKY

If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 7th degree of Leo will resonate with you during this cycle. This takes place on February 9th.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is “The wonder of the constellations of stars in the night sky.” It refers to those awe inspiring moments where see yourself reflected in the vastness of the Universe and realize that your own problems aren’t so big after all.

It speaks of putting things into perspective and recognizing that there’s something bigger than you are out there in the infinite darkness, whether that refers to your personal understanding of God, the concept of a higher power, or the intricate and masterful workings of the Universe.

The Moon in Leo trines Venus and Mars in Aries when it crosses this point. This is an awe-inspiring aspect in and of itself. It’s warm, passionate, dramatic and enthusiastic. It’s joyful and rapturous, inspired by beauty and splendor, like the image depicted in this card.

This month you want to think about where you fit in in the world and on a smaller scale in your community. It’s going to be a time for putting things into perspective and for not sweating the “small stuff.” You may feel like a tiny insignificant part of something that is so much larger you are. But remember that your own small contributions can make a huge impact on the world around you.

Card 6 — 24 Virgo MARY AND HER WHITE LAMB

If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 24th degree of Virgo will resonate with you during this cycle. This takes place on February 13th.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “Mary and her white lamb.” There’s an innocence and a sense of purity associated with this degree, as well as an awareness and acceptance of our differences.

It represents the call to be of service to those who are smaller and more vulnerable than us. From the servant to the child and the child to the lamb. It speaks of the ability to recognize our own weakness in others, and to draw from our experiences to comfort them.

At the time the Moon crosses this point, it sets off a t-square involving Chiron and Saturn. This aspect can trigger feelings of uncertainty or insecurity, for which the best remedy will always be support or reassurances from loved ones.

You may find yourself putting your own needs aside this month to tend to the needs of others. Taking care of a small child or a family pet comes to mind with respect to this image.

While this is such a noble and selfless undertaking, you don’t want to neglect your own needs. It may be that you need a little extra tender loving care this month, and if so don’t be afraid to reach out and ask. Along with your desire to nurture and protect others, don’t forget that sometimes you need taken care of too.

Card 7 — 15th Libra CIRCULAR PATHS

If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 15th degree of Libra will resonate with you during this cycle, which takes place on February 14th.

The Sabian symbol for this degree is “Circular paths.” It brings to mind thoughts of repetitive cycles and patterns, some favorable and some more than frustrating.

On the upside this symbol can refer to resolving old conflicts or reconnecting with loved ones from your past. It can represent retracing your steps and resolving past-life karma. But the downside of this symbol speaks of things like going in circles, spinning your wheels, or chasing your tail.

The Moon in Libra is known for fairness and objectivity; it strives for balance and harmony at all times. But it happens to oppose Mars (in Aries) at the time it crosses this point, which can bring some unsavory emotions into the mix.

Circular paths can indicate the endless cycle of cause and effect, action and reaction, synchronicity and karma. It can represent repeating patterns that are found in nature and in human behavior.

This month may see you going back to visit old haunts or running into childhood friends. You may experience profound instances of déjà vu or synchronicity. Pay attention to messages that are repeated to you with any frequency, such as songs you hear more than once or words that suddenly make several appearances, or even recurring dreams, as they will have meaning for you later on.

Card 8 — 2 Scorpio A BROKEN BOTTLE AND SPILLED PERFUME.

If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 2nd degree of Scorpio will resonate with you during this cycle. This takes place on February 16th.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “A broken bottle and spilled perfume. This is an interesting symbol for this degree, as the Moon is debilitated (weakened) in Scorpio, with this point being one degree away from its fall. The Moon is also almost completely isolated at this point, with its closest aspect being a wide inconjunct to Venus.

At first sight, this image may bring to mind things like shattered dreams and lost loves. And while there may be some of that, what actually happens when you spill perfume is that its fragrant essence fills the air and serves as a reminder of all that once was.

There are references here to memories lingering on, and even if those that are sad, they are only so because of the pleasure they once brought. Keep this in mind if you find yourself dwelling on what’s been lost rather than what has been retained.

Love is fragile and hearts can be broken, sometimes irreparably. If it’s your tender heart that is aching right now, remember that all is not lost. You may also be providing solace to another, through the deep pools of compassion and empathy you’ve cultivated through your own life experiences.

Card 9 — 5 Sagittarius AN OLD OWL PERCHED HIGH UP IN A TREE.

If you chose this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 5th degree of Sagittarius will resonate with you during this cycle. This takes place on February 19th.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is “An old owl perched high up in a tree.” This is a last quarter Moon — an “old” moon, much like the owl in this tree.

This symbol speaks of being able to quiet your mind and make sense of what is happening all around you. Even in the midst of so much chaos and turbulence in the world, you may need to find your own sacred space to sit back and observe.

The Owl is know for knowledge and wisdom. It’s also a nocturnal creature that gathers information while the rest of the world sleeps. It’s able to see what others miss, due to its ability to turn its head almost 360°.

Ask yourself what you might need to be paying more attention to this month, or in what ways seeking silence and solitude might serve you best.

This is a good time to meditate and reflect on your own intuition and the insights that you’ve gained. The Owl offers wisdom and guidance, while keeping a few secrets of his own.

Card 10 — 9 Capricorn AN ANGEL COMES CARRYING A HARP.

If you chose this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 9th degree of Capricorn will resonate with you during this cycle. This takes place on February 22nd.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “An angel comes carrying a harp.” The Moon is in sextile to Neptune and square to Venus at the time it transits this point. This combination of aspects ties in well with this symbol as there is something both beautiful and other-worldly in each.

You may feel comforted by the prospect of someone watching over you during this time. You may feel that you’re being protected or cared for by unseen forces. At the same time your capacity for kindness, forgiveness and understanding are increased.

You may also sense the presence of angels or spirit guides during this time. Or you may find yourself relying on information that seems to come from out of nowhere. Don’t discount the messages you receive, as they may hold special meaning that is relevant only to you.

This is a time for suspending all logic and allowing yourself to believe. In angels, spirits or unseen forces, who are here to offer comfort and support. Take some time to think about those you may need to forgive, starting with yourself.

15th Aquarius TWO LOVEBIRDS SITTING ON A FENCE AND SINGING HAPPILY.

If you chose this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 15th degree of Aquarius will resonate with you during this cycle. This takes place on February 24th.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “Two lovebirds sitting on a fence and singing happily.” This is a beautiful symbol that brings to mind the things that most of us long for. Love, happiness, companionship and harmony.

While there are references here to “sitting on a fence,” ie being indecisive or feeling torn between competing desires, the main focus of this degree is the joyful interaction between perfectly matched beings who are so happy in their little world that can’t help but express it in the the way know best.

If you’re involved in an established relationship, now is the time to to let the word know. It’s a time for getting in sync with your partner, celebrating your connection, and working together in unison. If you’re not currently involved in a relationship, there’s no time like the present to get out there and find your mate.

This month you want to focus on bringing harmony into your life, particularly with respect to your relationships. If you’re looking for love, go out there and find it. And if you love someone, don’t be afraid to let them know.

27 Pisces A HARVEST MOON ILLUMINATES THE SKY.

If you chose this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 27th degree of Pisces will resonate with you during this cycle. This takes place on January 31st.

The Sabian symbol for this degree is: “A harvest moon illuminates the sky” This is a beautiful symbol that brings together the concepts of wholeness, fulfillment and completion. It represents reaping what you’ve sewn and harvesting what you’ve grown.

The Moon conjuncts Venus at this degree, which is made all the more powerful because this is also the degree of Venus’ exaltation. This is a fortuitous placement for the Moon and Venus as it emphasizes the theme of wealth, abundance and prosperity that is inherent in this card.

In Native American traditions, the Harvest Moon is the most benevolent and bountiful Moon. It appears at a time when the crops are ripe and ready for picking; when there is plenty to go around. This is a time for being grateful for all that you have. Take a look around and you’ll see that you have so much more than you may have even realized.

This is a time for being more than satisfied with all you’ve attained. It’s a time for counting you blessings and expressing gratitude for those who may have helped you along the way. And it’s a time of focusing on what you have, rather than what you might lack.
